United States and Canada (Domestic)

1st Bumper (June 26, 1981-January 1982)

Bumper: On a blue background we see the words "HERE ARE SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS FROM OTHER WALT DISNEY HOME VIDEOCASSETTES" on the left corner of the screen in yellow text.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: This was typically seen at the end of Disney films released on video at the time, either for sale or rental; though in general, it's not that easy to find given these releases were in home video's early days and it only lasted a year and a half. It depends on the tape label, the date it was printed in (a print date is usually seen on the spine of the videotape), and a few other factors. Some examples include the very first printing of the 1982 VHS of A Walt Disney Christmas, the 1981 VHS of Pollyanna, and the 1981 VHS of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

2nd Bumper (April-September 1982)

Bumper: On a black background we see the Walt Disney Home Video logo (with Sorcerer Mickey) with the words "Also available from" above; everything is colored in tealish grey and outlined in white. If you look closely, you can see the copyright date below the logo.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Same as the 1st bumper.

Legacy: The outlining in the bumper has been criticized as cheap, to say the least.

Variants: The font and size varies by tape.

• The "Coming Soon from Walt Disney Home Video" clip-on is displayed on a black-blue gradient background. This precedes a trailer for The Journey of Natty Gann.
• On the 1986 VHS release of My Science Project, preceding a trailer for Down and Out in Beverly Hills, the "COMING SOON" text is dark blue and in quotation marks.
• On several 1986 VHS releases that open with trailers for The Journey of Natty Gann and The Sword in the Stone, a bumper appears in between the trailers with reused footage from an early Disney Channel bumper featuring Sorcerer Mickey. A short musical sting from The Sorcerer's Apprentice (from Fantasia) is heard, with the 80s Disney Channel announcer, Jerry Bishop, saying "And here's what's coming soon!" over the bumper.
• An early variant of the "Ask Your Video Dealer..." clip-on exists, where the text is still and instead reads "Ask your video dealer now about this hit title also from Touchstone Home Video." Grant Goodeve reads the text as usual, only his tone is different. This version was first seen on the 1988 VHS of Stakeout, the first tape to include these bumpers, and later appeared on the 1988 VHS releases of Three Men and a Baby and Adventures in Babysitting (1987).
• "And now, a preview" sub-variants:
  • On the 1988 VHS release of Hello Again, the text is seen in an all-caps Impact font.
  • On the 1988 VHS release of Shoot to Kill, a still version of the bumper is seen in between the two trailers on the tape.
• Feature Presentation sub-variants:
  • On the 1988 VHS releases of Can't Buy Me Love and Hello Again, the letters are in a different font and italicized.
  • On the 1988 VHS release of Adventures in Babysitting (1987), a special animated variant is used. The text is the same as the 1st variant, but in gold. It then rotates around once, revealing it’s interlocked with the film's logo, and thus rests on that. The logo then shines and flies away into the top left corner of the screen.
  • On the 1988 Canadian French VHS release of Shoot to Kill, the text instead reads “Notre Presentation de long metrage”.
• One variant of the “A special public service announcement“ clip-on exists, where the background is orange red and the text is bolder. This version is only seen on the original 1987 VHS release of Outrageous Fortune.

Technique: Most clip-ons simply fade in and out. The "And now, a preview... Touchstone Home Video" clip-ons scroll up, and the Feature Presentation clip-on variant from Adventures in Babysitting has its own animation described above.

Music/Sounds: Originally silent, until 1988, when it just had an announcer saying the following for two of the clip-ons:

• Ask Your Video Dealer: "Ask your video dealer now about this hit title, also from Touchstone Home Video." Voiced by Grant Goodeve, later credited as the voice of the Engineer in the video game Team Fortress 2.
• Feature Presentation: "And now, our feature presentation from Touchstone Home Video." Voiced by Brian Cummings, well-known Disney bumper/commercial/trailer announcer and later credited as the voices of Doofus Drake in DuckTales (1987), Ranger McRanger in ChalkZone, and Sokolov in Metal Gear Solid 3.

Music/Sounds Variants (FP only):

• The 1988 VHS release of Good Morning, Vietnam had the announcer saying, "And now for our feature presentation, Good Morning, Vietnam."
• On the 1988-89 VHS releases of Three Men and a Baby, Shoot to Kill, The Rescue, and Big Business, the announcer says, "And now, our feature presentation."
• On the 1988 VHS reissue of Tough Guys, a rock-and-roll tune plays, and the announcer says, "And now, from Touchstone Home Video, our feature presentation, Tough Guys."
• On the 1988 VHS releases of Hello Again and Can't Buy Me Love, the song "Real Wild Child" by Iggy Pop, notably featured in the preceding trailer for Adventures in Babysitting, is heard in the background.
  • Similar audio is used for the animated variation on the 1988 VHS release of Adventures in Babysitting (1987), except the excerpt from the previously mentioned song is slightly muffled and the announcer adds, "...Adventures in Babysitting."
• The 1988 VHS re-release of Outrageous Fortune has the announcer adding, "...Outrageous Fortune."
• On the 1988 Canadian French VHS release of Shoot to Kill, a French announcer reads the text.

Availability: Uncommon, though easier to spot than the first two bumpers. Initially used on Walt Disney Home Video releases, they were relegated to use on Touchstone Home Video tapes in 1986.

• The "Summer of 1985" clip-on is seen on early printings of the 1985 Classics video release of Pinocchio (1940), following the theatrical trailer for The Black Cauldron.
• The original "Coming Soon" version is seen on the original video releases of Return to Oz, The Blue Yonder, and The Small One, all released in December 1985.
• The "Coming Soon from Walt Disney Home Video" and Sorcerer Mickey clip-ons appear on VHS releases from March 1986, including The Living Desert, Charley and the Angel, Lots of Luck, The Ugly Dachshund, and the first six volumes of Wonderful World of Disney Double Feature.
• The "Now on Walt Disney Home Video..." clip-on can be spotted on VHS releases from April 1986, including Return from Witch Mountain, The Horse Without a Head, The Flight of the Grey Wolf, Elfego Baca: Six Gun Law, and Almost Angels.
• The "Coming Soon from Touchstone Home Video" variant can be seen on VHS releases of Wildside.
• The "Coming to Theatres in October 1986 from Touchstone Films" variant appears on the 1986 VHS releases of Down and Out in Beverly Hills and Off Beat, preceding a trailer for Tough Guys.
• The later versions of the clip-ons, with the voiceover, debuted on the 1988 VHS reissues of Tin Men and Outrageous Fortune, making their first new release appearance on the 1988 VHS of Stakeout. The entire clip-on in general, last appeared on the 1989 VHS of Big Business.

Legacy: This is the very first Disney ID to contain multiple clip-ons, introduced years before it became a standard. Excluding the Sorcerer Mickey clip-on, this is the last known Disney ID of any kind in U.S./Canada that didn't feature any voiceover on all of the bumpers until 2006. On the "Ask Your Video Dealer" variant, there's a period, but the comma is gone. These clip-ons look very plain compared to the more elaborate ones that came later; in fairness, these were the first forays into consistent clip-on branding for Disney, and they certainly got better over time. Also, the appearance of the FP text is awkwardly delayed on select VHS copies of Good Morning, Vietnam to make room for the announcer on it; had the FP text been on screen slightly longer, it would've been fine.

4th Bumper (April 18, 1989-May 27, 1992; September 18, 1992)

Bumper: On a black background, we see either one of the clip-ons below swiftly appear in a Clarendon font depending on the bumper. It may either fly up and down, respectively, and then shine, fly up and then shine, fly in from the right and shine, or it may simply shine while otherwise being still.

Trivia: Most of these clip-ons were relegated exclusively to Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures VHS releases.

Variants:

• The color scheme varies for each clip-on.
• On the 1991 VHS release of Mr. Destiny, only the sparkling/shining animation on the "Coming on Videocassette" clip-on is shown. This animation also occurs, but from right to left, on the “Now On Videocassette” clip-on on the original 1991 VHS release of Shipwrecked.
• On a 1991 promotional VHS release featuring clips from both Run and Shipwrecked, the clip-on fades out much earlier and slower than usual.
• On the original 1992 VHS releases of Deceived, Billy Bathgate, and Truly, Madly, Deeply, the "Coming on Videocassette" clip-on cuts in a second later than usual.
• On the "Also from Touchstone" clip-on, the text "Touchstone" shines differently and doesn't have any sparkle effects.
• On the "Also on Video" clip-on, the text is in a Lydian font. There are no sparkle effects on it.
• On the "Also from Walt Disney Home Video" clip-on, we see the logo with the words "Also from" on top, connecting at a fast speed.
• On the "Behind the Scenes" and "Feature Presentation" clip-ons, the background is grey and the letters zoom in one by one from top to bottom instead of flying in. There are also no sparkle effects on them.
• On the "Feature Presentation" clip-on, the text is in gold.
• Starting with the 1992 demo VHS releases of Deceived and Billy Bathgate and ending with the 1992 VHS of Truly, Madly, Deeply, Touchstone VHS tapes would have a variation of the "Feature Presentation" clip-on using the normal black background and orange text.
• On the "Stay Tooned" clip-on, it is on a different grey background, the text is in a gold-red gradient Balloon font, and instead of shining, a flash forms behind them, and spawns a shadow.
• On the "Coming this March to Videocassette" clip-on, the text zooms in from the right top corner instead of connecting, and the text is more two dimensional. The text "shines" once centered on the screen.

Technique: The animation of the clip-on.

Music/Sounds: The first eight notes of "Great Ovation" by Steve Gray from the Bruton Music library, a triumphant tune meant to invoke an award show atmosphere noteworthy for its prominence on many Disney clip-ons. An announcer (Brian Cummings, the same announcer as the previous two clip-ons), is heard saying one of the following:

• Coming to Theatres: "Coming to theaters from Walt Disney Pictures."
• Coming on Videocassette: "Coming soon on videocassette!"
• Now on Videocassette: "Don't miss this timeless Disney classic, now on videocassette."
• Also from Touchstone: "Ask your video dealer about these hit titles, also from Touchstone Home Video."
• Also on Video: "Ask your video dealer about these hit titles!"
• Also from Walt Disney Home Video: "Coming, from Walt Disney Home Video."
• Coming this March to Videocassette: "Coming from Touchstone Home Video."
• Stay Tooned: "Stay tuned for the most fun ever on home video!"
• Behind the Scenes: "Behind the scenes with Touchstone Home Video's Heartbreak Hotel."
• Feature Presentation: "And now for our feature presentation."

Music/Sounds Variants:

• The version of the intro of “Great Ovation” used for the first two editions of the “Also from Touchstone” clip-on along with the “Stay Tooned” and “Feature Presentation” clip-ons sounds more intense and fades out earlier than normal. This is because the intro used for these clip-ons was sampled from the original version of the fanfare, while other clip-ons used a slightly modified version of the intro.
• Coming to Theatres: On the 1991 VHS of White Fang, Brian Cummings says, "Coming to theaters soon."
• Coming on Videocassette:
  • The variant on the 1991 VHS of Mr. Destiny that lacks the fly-in animation features Brian Cummings quickly saying "Coming on videocassette."
  • On the 1991 VHS release of White Fang, Brian Cummings quickly says, "Coming from Walt Disney Home Video."
  • On the 1991 VHS release of What About Bob?, Brian Cummings enthusiastically says, "Coming on videocassette!"
  • On an unknown demo tape from 1991, Brian Cummings says “Coming soon on videocassette.” in a calmer tone of voice than usual. Along with its original energetic counterpart, this voiceover was reused for the 1992-94 clip-ons.
  • On the demo VHS releases of Paradise and The Doctor, an edited version of the audio from the second version of the "Also from Touchstone" clip-on is used where Brian Cummings only says "Also from Touchstone Home Video."
  • On the original VHS releases of Paradise and The Doctor, as well as the demo VHS releases of Deceived and Billy Bathgate, Brian Cummings says, "Coming from Touchstone Home Video."
  • The 1992 VHS release of So Dear to My Heart has the shortened version of "Great Ovation" heard on other bumpers from the time, with Mark Elliot saying, "Coming soon, from Walt Disney Home Video." This bumper crossfades into the start of the Beauty and the Beast (1991) video trailer.
• Now on Videocassette: On the 1991 VHS release of Shipwrecked, Brian Cummings enthusiastically says, "Now on videocassette!"
• Also from Touchstone:
  • On 1989 Touchstone Home Video tapes, a different announcer, Tom Kane, later credited as the voices of Monkey Fist in Kim Possible and Yoda in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, says, "Ask your video dealer about this hit title, also from Touchstone Home Video". As this version of the bumper only referred to one preview, this bumper appeared twice on the 1989 VHS releases of Three Fugitives and Turner & Hooch. The last tape to use this variation was the 1990 VHS of New York Stories, and the first tape to use the 1990 variation was the 1990 VHS of An Innocent Man.
  • On the 1991 VHS releases of Mr. Destiny and Three Men and a Little Lady, Brian Cummings says, "Ask your video dealer about this hit title...from Touchstone Home Video".
  • On the 1990 Laserdisc release of Dead Poets Society, no announcer is heard.
• On the "Behind the Scenes" clip-on, a more bombastic version of "Great Ovation" sourced from the last few seconds of the track is heard instead.
• The "Also from Walt Disney Home Video" clip-on used a sample of a different, majestic-sounding fanfare ("Pageantry (6)" as composed by Leslie Pearson, from the Bruton Music Library).

Availability: Umcommon, as it was only used for three years.

• It was first seen on the original 1989 VHS printing of Cocktail, and appeared on all subsequent titles from Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures Home Video until the 1992 VHS release of Truly, Madly, Deeply; however, the "Coming on Videocassette" clip-on made one last appearance on the 1992 VHS release of So Dear to My Heart.
• The "Feature Presentation" clip-on is relatively more common, as it was used on Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures, and Disney VHS releases, including the 1991 VHS releases of Lantern Hill, Looking for Miracles, Shipwrecked, White Fang, Robin Hood (1973), The Rescuers Down Under, DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, and The Brave Little Toaster, and the 1992 VHS releases of Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken and The Rocketeer (1991).
• This was preserved on numerous Touchstone Home Video VHS reissues that used the below two clip-ons described below well into the late 1990s, even with a later FBI warning screen replacing an earlier one.
• Also found on VHS releases from Filipino VHS distributor Regal Home Video, such as Aswang.
• Surprisingly, the "Also from Touchstone" and "Feature Presentation" clip-ons have also appeared on the 1990 Laserdisc release of Dead Poets Society.

Variants:

• On the Canadian French VHS release of Aladdin (1992) and the European French SECAM VHS release of Hocus Pocus, the text is in Cooper Black font with the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo underneath it which looks slightly similar to the "Now You Can Own These Hit Titles" bumper from 1992. An unknown announcer is heard saying, "Bientôt disponible sur vidéocassette de Walt Disney Home Video." while the first eight notes of "Great Ovation" play.
• On the Canadian French VHS release of Pocahontas II: Journey to the New World, the text is in a different font.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Just the first eight notes of "Great Ovation" without a voiceover.

Availability: Common.

• The American Spanish clip-ons can be found on U.S. Spanish Disney-associated videocassettes of the period, including the U.S. Spanish VHS releases of Disney films like The Aristocats, Toy Story, and The Fox and the Hound as well as the Canta con Nosotros (Sing Along Songs) series.
• The Canadian French clip-ons appear on Canadian French Disney-associated videocassettes of the period such as Aladdin (1992) and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.

Legacy: The "shadow" effect applied to the text doesn't really work on a black background, and the ID overall looks very plain and unprofessional.

6rd Bumper (February 6, 1991-September 18, 1992)

• 

Bumper: Just the 1986-2001 Walt Disney Home Video logo, appearing in full or short (starting from the spark writing the words "WALT DiSNEY" and forming the logo).

Variants:

• On the 1991 VHS releases of Lantern Hill and Looking for Miracles, the variant of the 1986 logo where "presents" fades in below the logo is used, starting as the spark appears on screen. The bumper crossfades to the home video trailer for Looking for Miracles (Lantern Hill) or Lantern Hill (Looking for Miracles).
• On the 1992 VHS releases of So Dear to My Heart and The Rescuers, the logo is seen already formed and shines a few times.

Technique: Same as the 1986-2001 Walt Disney Home Video logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1986-2001 Walt Disney Home Video logo, but with Brian Cummings slowly saying "Coming from Walt Disney Home Video".

Music/Sounds Variants:

• The early 1991 variant from Lantern Hill and Looking for Miracles features Brian Cummings saying "New, from Walt Disney Home Video!" over the music as the "presents" text fades in.
• On the 1992 variant, a shortened version of the introduction to "Great Ovation" is heard. Mark Elliott says "Now available on videocassette!" (So Dear to My Heart) or "And available now on videocassette..." (The Rescuers).

Availability: Rare. First seen on the 1991 VHS releases of Lantern Hill and Looking for Miracles, the short version is seen on the 1991 Classics VHS release of The Jungle Book (1967), and the full version is seen on the 1991-92 VHS releases of DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. More investigation is needed to confirm dates.

7th Bumper (May 3, 1991) (Walt Disney Pictures)

• 

Bumper: On a black background, we see the words "COMING TO THEATERS FROM WALT DISNEY PICTURES" in white. "COMING TO THEATERS" and "WALT DISNEY PICTURES" are above and below "FROM" respectively. This was shown after a preview for Beauty and the Beast.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Mark Elliot announcing "Coming to theaters from Walt Disney Pictures."

Availability: Can only be seen on the Walt Disney Classics 1991 print of The Jungle Book.

8th Bumper (September 11, 1991-July 17, 1992)

• 

Bumper: On a blue-black gradient background, the text “NOW AVAILABLE ON HOME VIDEO” in a golden-white gradient, narrow western font (the same font used for the Guns N Roses logo) is shown in the center of the screen. This is the first screen seen in the trailer for Walt Disney's Studio Film Collection.

Trivia: Unlike other IDs, this one was displayed during the first scene of a home video collection trailer, instead of after.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The first eight bars of an electric guitar/synth/jazz jingle, composed exclusively for the trailer for Walt Disney’s Studio Film Collection.

Availability: Seen at the beginning of the 1991-92 Walt Disney’s Studio Film Collection VHS releases of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Candleshoe, In Search of the Castaways, The Love Bug (1968), The Apple Dumpling Gang, Kidnapped, The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men, Old Yeller, The Parent Trap (1961), Freaky Friday (1976), The Three Lives of Thomasina, Treasure Island (1950), and Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

Trivia:

• On VHS printings of Beauty and the Beast (1991) from May to Early July 1992, the "Special Previews" clip-on is shown (Side Note: The early copies from Late May to Early-Mid June, contains two home video previews for the Classics release of Pinocchio (1940) and 101 Dalmatians (1961) after the movie is over. On the middle copies from late June to early July, it still has the same "Special Previews" bumper, but it led to the editing error of having one preview for the Classics release of 101 Dalmatians (1961) after the movie is done, as a result of the Classics release of Pinocchio (1940) being removed at the end of the movie). Subsequent VHS printings from mid-late July contain the "Special Preview" clip-on with one preview at the end of the movie and include a preview for Pinocchio (1940) before the movie and going right after the re-release preview for the cancelled 1993 theatrical re-release of Sleeping Beauty (1959), which was never removed on any printings of the tape).
• These clip-ons were relegated exclusively to Disney VHS releases (mostly animated films but some live action films also), never appearing on Touchstone or other Buena Vista VHS tapes from the time period.
• The audio from the "Feature Presentation" clip-on is heard at the very end of Cannibals, a track from Neil Cicierega's 2020 album Mouth Dreams.

Variants:

• On several 1992 Classics VHS releases, the clip-on appears underneath the red Walt Disney script from the 1986 Walt Disney Home Video logo, in place of "HOME VIDEO".
• Very rarely, a dark blue background will be used instead of the standard lilac blue gradient background. This has been spotted with the "Feature Presentation" clip-on on the 1992 Classics VHS release of The Rescuers.
• The "Feature Presentation" clip-on writes itself in on the screen from left to right.
• Printings of the 1992 Classics VHS release of Beauty and the Beast (1991) from after July 1992 have only one preview following the film, so as such, the "s" in "Previews" is omitted.
• The Feature Presentation clip-on was sparsely used from 1995 to 1996, before being "reactivated" for its final years, ESPECIALLY on animated films.

• On the "1992 Holiday Season" clip-on and the "Special Preview(s)" clip-on from the 1992 Classics release of Beauty and the Beast (1991), a triumphant horn fanfare beginning with a trumpet flourish is heard instead of the normal music ("Fanfare to the Modern Man 3" by Richard Hill, from the Bruton Music library, album BRG 09 - The Will to Win).
• On the "Now on Videocassette" clip-on, the 1991 Walt Disney Home Video theme is heard instead of the normal music.
• Coming to Home Video: On the 1992 Classics VHS release of The Rescuers, the shortened version of the opening to “Great Ovation” is heard and Mark Elliot says, "Coming soon, from Walt Disney Home Video.".
• Special Previews after our feature from Walt Disney Home Video: On the single-preview variant, Mark Elliot says, "Be sure to stay tuned after our feature, for a look at another special preview, from Walt Disney Home Video."
• Feature Presentation:
  • A variant tailored for Disney tapes which open with the Walt Disney Company Intro (described in greater detail further down this page) had Beau Weaver announcing, "Thanks for joining us for this special preview. And now, our feature presentation!". The music's volume is lowered in this version. It was first used on the 1996 VHS release of Toy Story and was last used on the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of Hercules (1997).
  • On the 1992 Classics VHS release of Beauty and the Beast (1991), the first note of the music is cut.
  • From the 1997 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of Fun and Fancy Free through Hercules (1997), half of the first note of the 1996 variant is cut.

Availability: Mostly rare for all except the "Feature Presentation" clip-on, which is common.

• The "Feature Presentation" clip-on first appeared on the 1992 Classics VHS release of 101 Dalmatians (1961) and was used for most of Disney's animated films at the time. It was used unaltered on all subsequent Classics and Masterpiece Collection titles, until the updated version was introduced on the 1996 VHS release of Toy Story. The original unaltered version returned on 1999 Masterpiece Collection releases that lacked a custom opening, as well as a few direct-to-video specials like The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, which is rather odd considering that the other clip-ons used on VHS releases from this time were based off the 1994 clip-ons. The final VHS tapes to use this were Madeline: Lost in Paris, Belle’s Tales of Friendship and Hercules: Zero to Hero (the latter two were released on the same day). It was also seen on the original VHS releases of some miscellaneous films released by Disney, such as Heidi (1993), Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians (1996), The Santa Clause, Gordy, A Goofy Movie, A Bug's Life, and the two Aladdin direct-to-video sequels. It also made a surprise appearance on the 1993 demo VHS release of Pinocchio (1940).

Legacy: Fondly remembered among VHS collectors and Disney enthusiasts, these bumpers' eye-grabbing color schemes and fonts surprised some and captivated others. These were the first attempts at Disney clip-ons using consistent branding, preceding the below clip-ons by one month; however, following the 1992 Classics VHS release of Beauty and the Beast (1991), many of the clip-ons would slowly be retired, as after the mid-90s up until the bumper was officially retired, only the "Feature Presentation" clip-on was used.

• Due to an editing error, the "Also Coming on Videocassette" clip-on at the end of the demo VHS of Medicine Man precedes two repeats of trailers that were already seen at the beginning of the tape.
• The "A Special Message after our feature" clip-on is unique among Disney clip-ons for not using the term "preview" to refer to post-movie content. Oddly, this clip-on was used on the original 1994 VHS of Strictly Ballroom, which had two previews at the end.
• The trailers for titles that were available for rental but not supposed to be properly purchased were preceded by the "Coming to Videocassette", "Coming to Video this Fall", "Now Available on Videocassette", and "Rent this New Release" clip-ons.
• The trailers for titles that could be properly purchased were preceded by the "Own this Big Hit", "Look for this Hit Movie", “Hit Movies you can own", "Own your favorite Hit Movies", "Look for these Action Hits", and "Now Available to own on Videocassette" clip-ons.
• These clip-ons were mostly relegated to Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures VHS releases, along with most live-action Disney VHS tapes from the time period.

• The color scheme varies for each clip-on.
• On the "Feature Presentation" clip-on, the text swiftly zooms in and connects.
• On early VHS tapes, most of the outlining of "Feature Presentation" is blacked out and the text is tinted in white. This variant debuted on the 1992 VHS reissues from Walt Disney Home Video and made its final appearances on the 1992 VHS release of Sister Act and the 1993-94 VHS reissues of Paradise, Deceived, Billy Bathgate, The Doctor, and Anne of Green Gables. The standard version of the clip-on debuted on the 1992 VHS release of Encino Man.
• On the "Feature Program" clip-on, the text simply zooms in, and is in a different, wider, lighter Clearface font.
• On the "Now Available to own on Videocassette" clip-on, the text is in a different, bolder Clarendon font.
• An extremely rare sub-variant of the "Now Available on Videocassette" and "Own this Big Hit" clip-ons features a still version of the 1993 "WDHV Presents" logo, which fades to the ID.
• On the 1993 VHS reissues of Paradise, Deceived, Billy Bathgate, and The Doctor, the "Hit Movies you can own" ID zooms in like the "Feature Program" ID, except at a slower pace, and the text looks thicker and includes a drop shadow.
• Demo VHS tapes used a Korinna font for the clip-ons instead. Strangely, the 1994 demo VHS of The Joy Luck Club used the normal "Coming to Videocassette" variant instead.
• On the "Stay Tuned for more great scenes from The Very Best Of The Ed Sullivan Show after our feature" clip-on, most of the text is light blue, and "The Very Best of The Ed Sullivan Show" is yellow.
• On the “Nationally Advertised Availability April 10th” clip-on, the text is light blue.
• There are two versions of the "Preview $45 Million Dollar Box Office Hit" clip-on:
  • On the demo VHS releases of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and True Identity, the text is a dark purple color.
  • On the demo VHS releases of Strangers in Good Company and Ernest Scared Stupid, the text is in a lighter shade of purple.
• On the "Coming from Touchstone Home Video at $19.99/$22.99 S.R.P." clip-on, the text is the same dark blue color as the text in the Touchstone Home Video logo.
• The demo tapes of Super Mario Bros. (1993), Hocus Pocus and The Crow feature a special bumper with the movie's logo on top, and "Behind the Scenes" below it (in a different font depending on the tape), which cross-fades to the "Previews" clip-on.
• U.K./Irish, Turkish, Croatian, and Bulgarian clip-on variants of this bumper exist. They will be described in the International section.
• Select bumpers were used on Malaysian, Singaporean, and Filipino VHS releases up until 2001, with slight differences:
  • The "Now Available on Videocassette" clip-on is silent, lacking the usual announcer and music. It also stays on screen for about three or four additional seconds before fading out.
  • The "After our feature more great Previews" clip-on stays on screen for about three or four additional seconds before fading out.
• "Feature Program" clip-on variants:
  • On some Jim Henson Video VHS tapes and the 1995 VHS release of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the text is seen in a white Dawncastle font, centered on a green background. This clip-on is nicknamed "Comic Sans Prototype".
    • On the 1994 VHS release of Muppet Sing-Alongs: It's Not Easy Being Green a dramatic trumpet theme plays, the words are replaced with "Stay Tuned..." and an announcer says "Stay tuned after the show to find out about more great Muppet entertainment". The words fade out and "Feature Program" fades in, then the announcer says "And now...Get ready to sing with all your favorite Muppets."
  • On 1993 Disney Halloween VHS tapes, a grey-colored image of a tree, full moon, and black clouds is seen. The text "Feature Program" in an orange "Matterofact" font with a dark green border suddenly appears after about a second, and the announcer says "And now, our feature program!" before sinisterly laughing.
    • In between cartoons on these tapes, "Stay Tuned..." is seen instead of "Feature Program", and the announcer says "Stay tuned for more Halloween fun!" instead.
  • On Disney's Happy Holidays with Darkwing Duck and Goofy, we see an image of a Christmas tree and the white words "Feature Program" on a starry background, similar to that of the Walt Disney Mini-Classics logo.
  • On Spot VHS tapes, it takes place on a white background, and when we see Spot looking at the left side of the screen at the bottom-right corner of the screen, at the upper left-hand corner of the screen is the words "Feature Program" in black and in the Times New Roman font.
  • On Fraggle Rock VHS tapes, we see multi-colored text on the bottom right of the screen with stone backgrounds and the "Fraggle Rock with the Muppets" logo on the top left.
  • On most Alvin and the Chipmunks VHS tapes, the text is in a Revue font and it takes place in Dave's camera room.
  • On some Alvin and the Chipmunks VHS tapes and Parachute Express: Come Sing with Us, it takes place on the Jay Ward Buena Vista background, and the text is in a different gold font.
  • On Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad VHS tapes, it takes place on a background like that of the VHS opening title card, and the text "Feature Program" is in a font like that of the episode opening cards following the intro.

  • On later printings of the 1994 VHS release of The Three Musketeers (1993), the "Great Ovation" audio from the 1990 "Now On Videocassette" clip-on is heard instead of the 1991 WDHV theme.
  • On the 1993 VHS releases of The Ernest Green Story, Perfect Harmony, Back Home, A Friendship in Vienna, Not Quite Human 2, and Still Not Quite Human, Cummings’ voiceover is calmer.
• Coming to Videocassette:
  • On rental releases of the 1992 VHS of Father of the Bride, the opening notes of "Great Ovation" are low-pitched and slower to accommodate the length of the voiceover. A different, deep-voiced announcer (believed to be Grant Goodeve) says, "Don't miss these exciting upcoming releases that you'll find at your favorite video rental store."
  • There are three different voiceover variants for this clip-on:
    • On 1992-93 VHS tapes, Brian Cummings says "Coming soon on videocassette." in a calmer voice than usual. This version first appeared on the original 1992 VHS of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and last appeared on the 1993 VHS of Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.
    • Fall 1993 VHS releases have Brian Cummings saying "Coming soon on videocassette!" in a more energetic voice, reused from the 1989-92 clip-ons. Although this voiceover was first heard on the 1993 VHS release of Aspen Extreme, it began regular use on the 1993 VHS releases of Swing Kids and Ethan Frome (which were released on the same day), and was last heard on the 1993 VHS releases of Guilty as Sin and Super Mario Bros.
    • The final version of the voiceover was used from late 1993 to August 1994 (and on the Disney Princess Collection releases from 1995), and had Brian Cummings saying "Coming soon to videocassette." in a similar tone to the previous clip-on. First heard on the 1993 VHS release of A Far Off Place, the voiceover was last heard on the 1994 VHS releases of Like Water for Chocolate and Three Colors: Blue, which were also the last releases to use this clip-on.
• Coming Soon on Videocassette:
  • On 1994 demo tapes, Brian Cummings says, "Coming soon to videocassette."
• Own this Big Hit:
  • Sometimes, Brian Cummings’ voiceover is slightly delayed and he says, "Don't miss owning this big hit." Shown on the 1993 VHS re-prints of Honey I Blew Up the Kid, Newsies, Consenting Adults, and Sarafina!.
  • On the 1993 VHS reissue of Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend, Cummings adds, "...from Touchstone Home Video."
  • On the 1993 VHS releases of Not Quite Human, Chips the War Dog, and Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss, Brian Cummings says, “Now you can own this big hit!”

    • On the 1992 VHS release of So Dear to My Heart, the same audio that accompanied the 1989 Feature Presentation clip-on is heard on the first version of the clip-on.
    • Brian Cummings says "And now, for our feature presentation!" on both versions of the clip-on; first seen on 1992 VHS reissues from Walt Disney Home Video, and last seen on the 1993-94 VHS releases of Indian Summer and Anne of Green Gables. It also appears on Malaysian, Singaporean, and Filipino VHS releases.
    • The second version of the clip-on introduced a different voiceover where Brian Cummings says "And now, our feature presentation." Although this was first heard on reprints of the 1993 VHS releases of Consenting Adults, Sarafina!, Captain Ron, The Mighty Ducks, and The Distinguished Gentleman, it didn't begin regular use until A Far Off Place later that year. Its last appearances were on 1994 VHS releases from the Family Film Collection line.

Availability: Uncommon for a majority of the clip-ons mentioned.

• The demo versions of the clip-ons first appeared on a February 1992 Buena Vista sampler demo tape, which was excerpted for the demo VHS release of Frankenweenie (1984). They were further polished a month later, on the 1992 demo VHS releases of Father of the Bride and Truly, Madly, Deeply. Starting with the 1992 demo VHS releases of Straight Talk and Newsies, all tapes with the demo clip-ons (with the exception of Sister Act) would just use the "Coming Soon on Videocassette" and "Feature Presentation" clip-ons.
• The "Feature Presentation" clip-on first appeared on the 1992 WDHV VHS reprints with the "Now you can own these Hit Titles..." bumper, such as The Rocketeer, White Fang, Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Return to Snowy River, and Shipwrecked. It made its first new-release appearance on rental prints of Father of the Bride, and was last seen on the 1994 Family Film Collection VHS releases.
  • In the U.K. and Ireland, this particular clip-on variant continued to be used until 2004, as described below.
• The "Now Available on Videocassette" clip-on was slightly more sporadic, primarily appearing on reprints of VHS tapes like the 1994 reprint of The Three Musketeers.
• The “Feature Program” clip-on made its debut on the 1992 VHS release of A Classic Christmas from The Ed Sullivan Show, and on sell-thru reprints of the 1991 VHS of Mr. Destiny (due to an editing error). It made a surprising comeback in 1998, appearing on early printings of the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Black Cauldron as well as the 1998 VHS releases of The Brave Little Toaster, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (despite them being full-length movies), The Spirit of Mickey, and both volumes of The Little Twins released by Buena Vista; these titles also used the Flashbang IDs.
• Both the "Coming to Videocassette" and "Now Available on Videocassette" clip-ons made a surprise appearance on the 1995 Disney Princess Collection VHS releases, released almost a year after the Flashbang clip-ons were introduced. These releases also included the "Feature Program" clip-on described above.
• In Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, the "Now Available on Videocassette", "After our feature more great Previews", and "Feature Presentation" clip-ons were still used on VHS releases until 2001, such as Sleeping Beauty, Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians: Dalmatian Christmas, Disney Sing-Along Songs: Honor to Us All, and The 13th Warrior.

Legacy: Both the appearances of each clip-on and their respective musical cues are considered unsettling for some, but this set of clip-ons are otherwise tamer than they look. The earliest tapes to use these clip-ons had inconsistent fonts, music, and announcers; and even the later versions have oddities, including noticeable audio splicing on the "Stay Tuned after our feature..." clip-on, especially with the music video variant. This branding would later be used for the 1998 Walt Disney Home Video logo, which acted as a placeholder logo on lower-priority live action VHS releases.

Trivia:

• On the earliest VHS tapes to have these clip-ons, the "Coming Soon to Theaters" clip-on appears as the last clip-on before the "Feature Presentation" clip-on; later in 1994, this was redone so the Theaters clip-on would be first. Tapes with this clip-on order include the original 1994 VHS releases of When a Man Loves a Woman and I Love Trouble.
• Rarely, these bumpers would precede a trailer for a non-Disney film or TV show. This occurs on the 1997 VHS of Supercop with a trailer for First Strike (released by New Line; likely included because Jackie Chan stars in both), and on the 1999 rental VHS of Life is Beautiful with a commercial for The King of Queens (which aired on CBS and is owned by Sony Pictures).
• The "Coming Soon to Videocassette", "Coming Soon to Rent on Video", "Coming soon on Video and DVD", "Now Available on Videocassette", "Now Available to Rent on Video" clip-ons appeared on most home video releases from Disney and its subsidiaries, but was mostly used on VHS, as most DVDs from 1997-99 have no previews.
• These clip-ons were mostly relegated to Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Miramax Films, and Dimension Films VHS releases, along with most live-action and a small amount of animated Disney VHS tapes from the time period.
  • The Feature Presentation bumper appears on most tapes of the era except for some which use the 1992 Lilac Feature Presentation screen, most of which were animated films.

Variants:

• On the 1995 VHS release of Street Sharks: The Gene Slamming Begins, the "Now Available to Own on Videocassette" clip-on variant abruptly starts just before the second flash occurs. This is likely due to an editing error. The "Coming Soon to Own on Videocassette" clip-on fades in silently at the end of the trailer for Sailor Moon on the same tape, which is simply the English intro to the show.
• On both of the Disney Interactive clip-ons, the font is slightly different.
• On the Video & DVD, "Feature Program", and rental clip-ons, the text zooms in and the font is Flange Light.
• On the "Previews" clip-on, no flash accompanies the text zooming out.
• The "Now Appearing" clip-on is in Flange Light and a still image.
• The "Stay Tuned after the feature" clip-on, after a few seconds, fades to the "Feature Presentation" clip-on, with the blue background still in place.
• On the Crow clip-ons, the Crow symbol zooms out, and after the second flash, the text appears.
• "Feature Presentation" clip-on variants:
  • Earlier releases had the text already white when it zooms out.
  • On the 1995 VHS release of Gargoyles: The Movie, the yellow-orange gradient text is on a black background.
  • On the 1997 VHS release of Phenomenon, John Travolta says, "Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy Phenomenon."
  • On the 1997 VHS releases of Schoolhouse Rock!, the yellow and red text is on a white background.
  • On 1998 VHS releases from Vol. 8 of Walt Disney Film Classics, the text is already in place on the blue background and the ID is still.
• "Feature Program" clip-on variants:
  • On Disney's Love Tales tapes, the text is in a pink Disney's Love Tales font.
  • On some Sailor Moon tapes, the text is in a black-rose gradient font, and set on a bright, bubbly background mirroring the episode title card to a Sailor Moon episode. Other tapes used the "Feature Presentation" bumper.
  • On Disney's Sweetheart Stories, the text is in a pink Disney's Sweetheart Stories font on a lavender fabric background.
  • On Timon and Pumbaa tapes, it takes place on a green background, and the text is in an orange jungle-like font.
  • On Quack Pack, Bone Chillers and Disney's Doug tapes, the text is orange, and in lowercase.
    • On Disney's Doug, we see Doug holding a giant pencil in a white background.
    • On Bone Chillers, we see Edgar Allan Poe High School surrounded by bats at night.
    • On Quack Pack, we see Donald Duck sitting on a green chair, staring at the viewer.

• On the "Feature Program" clip-on, the 1991 Walt Disney Home Video jingle is used.
• The "Now Appearing" clip-on is silent.

• The clip-ons premiered on the original 1994 VHS release of The Crow, and began widespread usage on four titles issued on the same day, October 12: Touchstone's The Inkwell and Golden Gate, Hollywood's Holy Matrimony, and Miramax's Mother's Boys.
• The "Feature Program" variant was seen on the direct-to-video Beauty and the Beast sequels, the original VHS of Disney Sing-Along Songs: Happy Haunting Party at Disneyland, and the 1998 reprints of Winnie the Pooh: Frankenpooh and Spookable Pooh.
• The "Now In Theaters" variant was seen on rental printings of The Crow, and later appeared on VHS releases like Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Supercop, Brassed Off, 54, and Sing a Song with Tigger.
• The last proper appearance of the Flashbang clip-ons on a high-profile release was on the 1999 VHS of Instinct, though they continued to be used until 2001 on Warren Miller Entertainment VHS releases such as Ride and Fifty, on the 2000 VHS release of Sing a Song with Tigger and reprints of Winnie the Pooh compilation videos from that year, and on Dimension Home Video releases into 2003 such as the first two Scary Movie films, Scream 3, Confessions of Sorority Girls, The Accidental Spy, The Crow: Salvation, Dracula 2000, Halloween: Resurrection, early printings of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and the final release with them in general, Mimic 3: Sentinel (higher profile Dimension releases - the first two Spy Kids films, The Others, and later prints of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - instead used the Filmreel clip-ons).
• On DVD, the "Now Available to Own on Video and DVD" clip-on can be seen on the original 1999 DVD release of Enemy of the State (three times, appearing in-between trailers).
• The "Previews" clip-on was exclusively seen on demo VHS releases from Dimension and Warren Miller, taking the place of the corresponding Filmreel clip-on.
• The "Now Available on CD & Cassette" clip-on also appears on all VHS and Laserdisc releases of Armageddon.

Legacy: This set of clip-ons is known for its omnipresence on many releases from both Disney and their subsidiaries, as well as their startling nature and sporadic appearances on tapes that otherwise have different sets of clip-ons. The zoom-in clip-ons are considered an improvement, but some don't like that it uses "Great Ovation" in the place of the original music.

Bumper B:

• Coming to Theaters: The El Capitan Theatre with the curtains raising, revealing a screen with the 1990 updated version of the 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo. Tinkerbell flies in and waves her wand in animation reused from other bumpers of the time to start the preview for the movie. The screen on the movie theater zooms in to take up the entire screen, and the trailer begins.
• Coming to Videocassette: A TV in a living room shows a scene from Fantasia with Mickey Mouse putting the sorcerer's hat on, which cuts to a boy and a girl watching the TV happily. The TV is then shown once more, this time with the 1991 Walt Disney Home Video logo on the screen, which zooms in to start the trailer.
• Walt Disney World: An overview shot of Epcot, side views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and the PeopleMover near Spaceship Earth. It ends with the aforementioned animation of Tinkerbell waving her wand to transition to the ad.
• Disney Interactive: A clip of a kid playing a Disney Interactive Animated Storybook game. Tinkerbell flies over and changes the computer screen to the Disney Interactive logo, which flashes on a moving purple space background with black text. The logo is then seen as a still on a black background with white text before the ad starts.
• Feature Presentation: Just the standard Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo without any modifications. (Side Note: The lilac blue Feature Presentation bumper does not appear on the 1996 VHS releases of The Aristocats or Oliver & Company, as both VHS releases have the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo with Beau Weaver saying, “And now, our feature presentation”.)

Trivia: This bumper appears on mostly popular VHS releases from WDHV at the time, such as the ones with the Lilac Blue, Flash-bang and Filmreel IDs.

Variants (Bumper A):

• April 24, 1996: There is a prototype variant seen on the 1996 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Aristocats (the first Disney VHS to use these bumpers) with different clips. They are:
  • Pocahontas: Pocahontas and Meeko go down a waterfall on their canoe.
  • A shot of the entrance of the Magic Kingdom in Florida.
  • An alternate take of the same moment from the Broadway stage production of Beauty and the Beast.
  • A mother watching TV with her two children.
  • A rapid-fire montage of Cinderella Castle with fireworks in the sky, Buzz unloading his wings in Toy Story, the "Be Our Guest" sequence from Beauty and the Beast, guests going down the final drop on Splash Mountain, and a clip from the final scene of The Lion King (1994).
• September 25, 1996: On the 1996 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of Oliver & Company, the Pocahontas clip was replaced by a clip from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) (of Quasimodo sliding down a rain gutter, which was also on the 1996 VHS of Toy Story), the alternate take of the same moment from the Broadway stage production of Beauty and the Beast was replaced by the exterior of the Palace Theatre in New York City that advertise the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast, and the clip of the mother watching TV with her two children was replaced by the clip of the little boy and his father watching TV together.
• October 29, 1996: Another early variant is seen on the 1996 VHS release of Toy Story. Here, instead of the clips from Bambi (1942) and Hercules (1997), clips from Pocahontas (of Pocahontas and Meeko going downstream in their canoe, a different shot rather than the same shot that was shown on the 1996 VHS of The Aristocats (1970)) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) (of Quasimodo sliding down a rain gutter, as shown on the 1996 VHS of Oliver & Company) were used. The ABC logo on the TV screen is a still of the logo instead of the animated version seen in later versions of the intro.
• January 5, 1999: On the first, recalled printing of the 1999 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Rescuers, Beau Weaver simply says, "You can always count on something new and exciting from Disney!" at the end of the bumper without adding anything over the following bumper.

  • On the 1996 Masterpiece Collection VHS releases of The Aristocats and Oliver & Company, the announcer says, "Here's a special preview of Disney's next motion picture/animated masterpiece (coming to theaters).”
    • On the former release, a brief scene of a man's hand drawing character designs for Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) is seen on the theater screen before the bumper, and the Masterpiece Collection theme is instead replaced with a dreamy string / woodwind tune common on other pre-preview bumpers on Disney tapes from this period, followed by the music for the trailer.
  • On the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS releases of Hercules (1997) and Peter Pan (1953), the announcer says, "Join us now for a special preview from Walt Disney Pictures!"
  • A German version exists.
• Coming to Videocassette:
  • On the 1996 Masterpiece Collection VHS releases of The Aristocats (1970) and Oliver & Company (1988), Beau Weaver says, "And look for these great Disney movies to add to your home video collection!".
    • On the former title, the music is the beginning of the Oliver & Company song, "Why Should I Worry?". The announcer is still heard. This was most likely due to an editing error, as Oliver & Company was not being advertised.
  • On the 1997 VHS release of 101 Dalmatians (1996), Beau Weaver says, "Enjoy all the magic at home with this great Disney movie coming to video!".
  • A German version exists.
  • Three VHS releases don't have the WDHV logo on the TV screen during the "Coming to Videocassette" bumper:
    • On the 1997 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), instead of the WDHV logo, the 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo is seen taking up the entire screen.
    • On the 1997 VHS release of 101 Dalmatians (1996), instead of the WDHV logo, Winnie the Pooh with the words "Once Upon a Time..." above him is seen.
    • On the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of Lady and the Tramp (1955), instead of the WDHV logo appearing on the screen, the first scene of the trailer for The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Story (a scene of Colonel Hathi shouting) is seen.
    • On the 2000 VHS releases of Tarzan (1999) and Toy Story (1995), the 1999 version of the bumper is seen as usual, then the 1991 WDHV logo fades in to the Disney DVD logo, which shines and zooms out of the TV screen. Beau Weaver says, "Enjoy all the magic at home with these great Disney movies coming to video and Disney DVD!"
• Walt Disney World:
  • On the original 1996 VHS release of Toy Story and the 1997 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), the first two clips in the "Walt Disney World" bumper are of the Main Street Electrical Parade and the Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. Beau Weaver says, "And now, Walt Disney World celebrates its 25th anniversary!".
• Disney Interactive:
  • On the 1996 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Aristocats, Tinkerbell is mirrored from her usual position. Beau Weaver says, "And, here's what's new from Disney Interactive!".

Technique:

• Bumper A: The clips in the montage fading into one another. In the case of the Hunchback clip, the screen turns white when Clopin throws down his smoke ball, which then fades into the Toy Story clip. At the end of the montage, the cross-fade to any three of the possible "Bumper B" bumpers.
• Bumper B: For the Coming to Theaters bumper, the curtains coming up, Tinkerbell flying, and the theater screen zooming to fill the TV screen - a mix of live-action and 2D animation. On the Coming to Videocassette bumper, the image on the TV screen zooming in to fill the screen at the end of the bumper. (Note: This is stock footage from the 1991 Disney Channel documentary Be Our Guest: The Making of Beauty and the Beast, hosted by David Ogden Stiers, the voice of Cogsworth.)

Music/Sounds (Bumper A): The 1985 Walt Disney Pictures logo theme, followed by the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection theme (which plays into whichever bumper follows the intro). While this plays, Beau Weaver says the following: "From magical movies, to unforgettable adventures, from the thrill of the theater, to the comfort of your home, you can always count on something new and exciting from Disney."

Music/Sounds (Bumper B):

• Walt Disney World: The end of the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo music, along with Beau Weaver saying, "Now, here's a special message from Walt Disney World.". This was shown on the 1996 VHS of The Aristocats.
• Disney Interactive: A gentle calypso theme that would later be used on the ABC bumpers. Beau Weaver says either "Let's see what's in store for you, from Disney Interactive." from the 1996 VHS Oliver & Company or "There's always something exciting for everyone from Disney Interactive!" from the 1996 VHS of Toy Story to the early copies of the 1997 VHS of The Jungle Book (1967).
• Feature Presentation: The full Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo theme and Beau Weaver saying, "And now, our feature presentation." during the last few seconds.

Music/Sounds Variants (Bumper A):

• The prototype versions that was seen on both releases of The Aristocats and Oliver & Company used a slightly different announcement: "From movies, to magical vacations, from the theater, to your living room, there's always something new and exciting from Disney."
• On the original 1996-97 VHS releases of Toy Story and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), the music is accompanied by extra sound effects, including a "poof" sound when Clopin throws his smoke ball, a rumbling sound for the boulder as it rolls, and the little boy giggling.
• On the 1999-2000 VHS releases of A Bug's Life, The Great Mouse Detective, Toy Story, and Tarzan (1999) (the last Disney VHS release to use the Walt Disney Company intro), the 1992 bass-distorted version of the Walt Disney Classics theme is heard instead of the Masterpiece Collection theme during the second half of the bumper. Beau Weaver's announcement was also re-recorded. This was possibly due to the Masterpiece Collection was soon ending at the time.

Availability: It can be seen on WDHV tapes with the Walt Disney Company Intro. The "Feature Presentation" clip-on is rare, as most tapes instead used the standard 1991, 1994, or 1999 IDs, but it appears exclusively on the 1996 Masterpiece Collection releases of The Aristocats and Oliver & Company. The “Coming to Theaters” clip on also appears on the 1999 60th Anniversary VHS release of Pinocchio (1940). These bumpers don't appear on their DVDs as they have no previews or use the filmreel bumpers instead.

Legacy: A thrilling montage through the world of Disney, this is a nostalgic favorite among many due to its appearances on many famous titles throughout the 1990s, and are a refreshing change of pace from the previous clip-ons. These bumpers brought some much-needed consistency to Disney branding; the variations of each bumper are very slight compared to the clip-on sets on prior Disney releases. Sadly, an original Feature Presentation bumper was not made for these bumpers since these titles either used the Masterpiece Collection logo (appears on The Aristocats and Oliver & Company) or the 1991, 1994 and 1999 FP bumpers.

• Coming Soon to Theaters: Following the introduction, Jodi Benson introduces a sneak peek of the studio's upcoming feature Mulan with CGI replicas of Gil and Phil, before cutting to the teaser for Mulan (1998).
• Coming Soon to Theaters (B): After the trailer for Mulan (1998), Gil and Phil, along with Jodi Benson, introduce a sneak peek of A Bug's Life. We can see a paper with the Mulan logo along with "COMING TO THEATERS 1998", shown below it. We then cut to the teaser for A Bug's Life, with Benson continuing to narrate.
• Coming Soon to Video: After the trailer for A Bug's Life, we cut back to Gil and Phil, along with Jodi Benson, introducing their newest video release Melody Time, which was released on VHS as a Masterpiece Collection title.
• Coming Soon to Video (B): After the trailer for Melody Time, we cut back to Gil and Phil, along with Jodi Benson, introducing the new compilation video The Spirit of Mickey.

• Feature Presentation: We start with the camera zooming out of an extremely close, tilted shot of the words "FEATURE PRESENTATION", done in gold (a la 20th Century Fox structure logo). As the camera pans out to a confortable distance/angle, the letters are revealed to be sitting at the center of a dark-blue stadium on a gradient black to indigo background, with several spotlights standing still in the background. The logo is shown on a live-action television, viewed from a fishbowl underwater. As a result, the logo look slightly distorted by the ripples in the water, and as the camera pans into the television set the logo is being shown on, the aforementioned fish are initially seen at the left and right of the screen, and a castle that is in the fishbowl is covers up part of the lower-left screen.
• Stay Tuned: Before fading away to the home video variant of the THX "Broadway" logo, Jodi Benson (as part of the filler at the start of the VHS where she converses with her CGI pet goldfish, Gil and Phil) reminds the audience to stay tuned for a music video.

Technique: A mix of live action and CGI.

Music/Sounds (Bumper A): An excerpt from the song "Under the Sea", along with some dialogue introducing the film.

Music/Sounds (Bumper B): The actual bumper is silent, but we hear Gil and Phil (two computer-animated goldfish) conversing with Jodi Benson and themselves about the upcoming film they are about to watch:

• Gil: "Yeah, the shrimp!" (This is in response to Jodi listing off Flounder as one of the characters from the film they--and by extension, the audience--are about to watch.)
• Phil: "Well, grab a seat, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show."

Legacy: Disney's first attempt at a set of custom VHS bumpers. This practice would later be replicated on the 1999 VHS release of Mulan (1998), using shorter clips compared to this set of bumpers, which use a more fitting "filler" to make the clip-ons more entertaining.

Bumper A: A light moves over from a black background, and a white flash appears. The flash reveals itself to be clips from The Rescuers. We cut to a yellow box in the upper left corner, and a filmstrip appears, and then a blue box appears at the bottom half of the screen. The black words "get" slide up and the white words "ready" slide up from the bottom. Then it cuts to clips from 101 Dalmatians (1961) and A Bug's Life, then it cuts back to the screen, but the words "get" is replaced by "hold" and "ready" is replaced by "on". After that, it cuts to a clip from Mulan (1998), and it cuts back to the screen, only this time the black word on the yellow box reads "brace" and the white word on the blue box reads "yourself". This cuts to more clips from Mulan (1998) and The Rescuers, then it cuts to the film countdown with the yellow words "action", sliding up and a zoom in effect. It cuts to clips from Mighty Joe Young (1998), and it cuts back to the countdown, only this time it reads "fun" instead of "action". Finally, it cuts to a clip from Mulan (1998) and A Bug's Life, and it cuts back to the countdown, only this time it reads "adventure". Then it cuts to clips from 101 Dalmatians (1961), The Rescuers, Mulan (1998) and Mighty Joe Young (1998), before it fades to the Coming to Theaters bumper from Bumper B.

Bumper B:

• Coming Soon to Theaters: We fade into a screen that has a yellow box in the upper-left corner and a cerulean blue box at the bottom half of the screen. Just as we fade in, black text that reads "coming soon to theaters" (with "theaters" in a slightly larger font, placed below "coming soon to") fades onto the screen in the yellow box. The "Walt Disney Pictures" logo (with the "PICTURES" text more closely packed-into each other) fades in on the blue box at the bottom. As this all happens, blue-tinted pictures of film used for movie cameras can be seen cycling in the box in the upper-right corner of the screen.
• Coming Soon to Video: A bright, lens-flare-styled flash occurs. After the flash disappears, we see a screen that has a yellow box in the upper-left corner, a box of blue television static that has an oddly designed, "retro" styled television set with a transparent screen in the upper right corner, and a cerulean blue box at the bottom half of the screen. We see blue text that reads "coming soon" fading in on the yellow box, followed by the Walt Disney Home Video logo (with the "Home Video" text packed closely together underneath the Walt Disney text) logo fading in on the blue box. At the same time, the television screen on the television set has the Gold 1991 Walt Disney Home Video logo fade in.
• Feature Presentation: There is a white flash that becomes a yellow square, which moves to the upper right of the screen to reveal a blue background with a test pattern. Then the words "feature presentation" in white zoom in while a purple filmstrip appears and wipes the background away. The background becomes black and "feature" moves from right to left above "presentation".

Technique: The cycling pictures of films, the moving blue television static background, and the text for both boxes fading in.

Music/Sounds (Bumper A): A techno hip hop tune with whooshes and Brian Cummings saying, "And now... get ready... hold on... and brace yourself... for all the action... fun... and adventure... coming your way from Walt Disney Studios!"

Music/Sounds (Bumper B): Just Brian Cummings saying, "Coming soon to theaters from Walt Disney Pictures." or "And coming soon, from Walt Disney Home Video...".

Music/Sounds (Bumper C): A whooshing sound when the flash appears, followed by Brian Cummings saying "And now, Disney proudly presents: The Lion King II: Simba's Pride!"

Availability: Only appeared on the original 1998 VHS tape of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

Legacy: A failed attempt to replace the 1996 Walt Disney Company Intro and its corresponding bumpers, this ambitious set of bumpers were only used for one tape. The concept of the filmstrips, the color scheme and some of the font choices seem to have laid the groundwork for the 1999 clip-ons.

Bumper:

• We see one of the following clip-on texts - some of which slides down while the other section of text slides to the right, respectively, before settling. There is a pink rectangular strip on the top (moving towards the bottom of the screen), a gold rectangular strip at the top moving to the right, a transparent strip moving to the left (forming into a backing for the top clip-on text), golden lines moving in from every side and a gold rectangular strip that forms from the right going toward the left side of the screen (the bottom clip-on text will usually end up in this strip). Film reels are slowly spinning in the blue-tinted background.
• When hitting "Sneak Peeks" on the main menu on most 2004-10 DVDs, the phrase "Sneak Peeks" zooms slowly down the top of the screen and stays put. Four gold arrows slide in from all four directions of the screen, after which the words "PLAY ALL" (on the top right side of the screen), "MAIN MENU" (at the bottom right side) and "MORE" (at the bottom left side) fade in. Then, several logos for movies/TV shows/TV networks animate in several unique ways and appear in the middle of the screen in all sides. Then, a blue filmreel with gold holes appears next to either one of the logos or "PLAY ALL", and the viewer can use their remote control to move the filmreel to a movie logo, which by clicking on them takes them to the trailer they want to see, or to "PLAY ALL" (which plays all the trailers, either on the disc or on the page), "MAIN MENU" (which jumps right back to the main menu), "MORE" (which jumps to an additional page of trailers), and "BACK" (which can only be accessed from the second page, and jumps back to the first page). When the viewer selects a trailer they want, the small filmreel inverts and the menu cuts to black, then the start of the trailer. Trivia:

• Early DVD releases from Disney and its subsidiaries had no previews or when had previews did not allow viewers to skip the previews. Because of subsequent backlash, the ability to jump directly to the main menu at any time was added. In August 2000, text regarding such an option was added to the first clip-on on the disc (more on that below), although the 2001-04 DVD releases of Just Visiting, The Love Bug, and My Baby's Daddy, which use only one clip-on, feature no additional text. This ability was also provided by Disney's Fast Play, which was introduced in 2004, except on discs with it, there were no bumpers in-between trailers until 2010.
• Some 2000 DVDs, such as The Sixth Sense, Mumford, and Mission to Mars, featured the same previews as on the disc's opening accessible from the main menu, although the option is entitled "Preview Trailer(s)" and the previews, complete with the original bumpers, run automatically (a practice that, except for a "More Sneak Peeks" option in the "Sneak Peeks" menu on the original release of Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, was abandoned). Starting with Keeping the Faith, it was officially changed to "Sneak Peeks," although the trailer option was titled "Sneak Peeks" on the earlier-released Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins (though the 2002 DVD of Tron: 20th Anniversary Edition plays bumpers with its two trailers on the menu). Later, when the Sneak Peeks menu was retired, the menu returned to its 2000-04 design for a short time, before the previews were made to just play automatically whenever "Sneak Peeks" is pressed, a practice that continues to be used to this day.
• On the 2004 DVD release of Home on the Range, the "Coming Soon to Own on DVD & Video" clip-on appears twice, once before a trailer for Aladdin: Platinum Edition, and once again before trailers for Mulan: Special Edition and Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas (the latter of which, unusually for a 2004-06 DVD, appears on the second page of the Sneak Peeks menu on the disc instead of the first).
• Conversely, on the 2005 DVD release of The Parent Trap: 2-Movie Collection, a preview for Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition is shown, despite the "Now Available to Own on DVD" bumper being missing. This could be because of a later reissue of Toy Story 2 being advertised at the preview's very end.
• In a similar case to the Flashbang bumpers, the trailers for titles that could be rented but not properly purchased were preceded by the "...on Video", "...on DVD", "...to Rent on Video", and "...on Video & DVD" clip-ons. The trailers for titles that could be properly purchased were preceded by the "...to Own on Video", "...to Own on DVD", and "...to Own on DVD and Video" clip-ons.
• These clip-ons were mostly relegated to most Buena Vista releases except some early-to-mid-2000s Dimension Home Video VHS tapes, which continued to use the Flashbang set.
• The Sneak Peeks menu background & music was still used on Buena Vista DVDs from 2006-2009 after the main bumpers were replaced with the 2006-2020 bumpers.
• These are the first main clip ons not to involve the intro to "Great Ovation" as the previous bumpers such as the Zoom In, Handwriting, and other sets used, and also the last to use a voiceover.
  • It's also the first clip-on set not to use either version of the 1991 Walt Disney Home Video logo music that some previous bumpers and international bumpers also used.
• DVDs released from 2000-05 with trailers include a still card for each trailer after each bumper. DVDs released after 2005 would jump into their sets of trailers after each bumper. it returned on some 2010 DVDs during previews.

Variants:

• While the upper text in each clip-on remains in a Helvetica Light font (similar to the JCPenney logo), the bottom text may appear in a different font, and each clip-on may animate differently, as explained below.
  • The clip-ons with the bottom text that appears in a widened Helvetica Light font animate in a smooth way (the lower text having a "motion blur" effect applied), with both the upper and lower texts sliding slowly while inside the screen.
  • In a few cases, the lower text appears in a widened Verdana font and slides into the golden strip slightly slower than usual. This version occurs only on the early version of the "Now Available on Video" clip-on, and the "Now Available on CD" and "Join Us after the Program" clip-ons. A similar version appears on the "Join Us after the Movie" clip-on, except the text "after the Movie" is in a standard Verdana font.
  • In other cases, the lower text is in a standard Verdana font, emerges from the left side of the screen and swiftly slides into the golden strip. The upper text also emerges from the top of the screen before it falls to its usual position. This version occurs on the early version of the "Now Available to Own on DVD" clip-on as well as the "New From Disney Interactive" and "New from the Secret Lab" clip-ons. This also applies to the later versions of the "Coming Soon to Theaters from Disney & Pixar", "Now Available on Video", "Previews" and "Feature Program" clip-ons.
  • For both "Collector's Edition DVD" clip-ons, the bottom text appears in Helvetica Light.
• On the 2006 widescreen DVD release of Cars (one of the last releases to feature this bumper), there is a more detailed version where the 3D text "Coming Soon" turns downward to face the viewer. "to Theaters" or "to Own on DVD" (depending on the bumper used) swipes in from the left side of the screen and rotates to face the viewer, settling above the golden strip. The background from the original variant of the Sneak Peeks menu/bumper is used. It would appear this was a prototype bumper that would eventually lead to the 2006 era bumpers, as the 3D text resembles the animation used in those bumpers.
• From 2000-05, text would appear on the bottom left corner that reads "Press [Menu] to play movie or to select other options." This usually appears on the first bumper used during the previews, and was first seen on the 2000 DVD release of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins (although strangely, it appears over both clip-ons; this was also the case on the original release of Sin City, issued in 2005, as well as on two of the three clip-ons on The Brave Little Toaster, released in 2003). This text was removed starting with the 2005 DVD release of Home Improvement: The Complete Third Season (the last to use the text were The Golden Girls: The Complete Third Season, released on the same day as the Home Improvement set, November 22, 2005, and Toy Story 2: Two-Disc Special Edition, released on December 26 of that year).
  • On the 2004 DVD release of That's So Raven: Supernaturally Stylish, the text appears on the second clip-on instead of the first.
• DVDs with the English language have "ON VIDEO AND DVD" slide in the yellow bar.
  • As a side note, the 2000 UK/Irish DVD releases of The Tigger Movie and Tarzan (possibly the first ever DVDs to be released by Disney in the UK/Ireland to contain previews) features the "Coming Soon to Own on Video & DVD" variant, complete with the voiceover and music, only the bumper fades to black, then to a still card for the first preview.
  • This variant is translated to “Auf Video und DVD” (not all in uppercase) on German and Turkish DVDs.
  • This variant is translated to "En Video et DVD" on some French DVDs.
  • On DVDs released in Spain, the bottom text is translated to “en video y DVD” and “Titulos que estan or estaran proximamente” is added above.
• In December 2003, due to the DVD format overtaking VHS in sales, the bottom text in the Coming Soon/Now Available clip-ons was switched to "DVD & Video." This version was first used on the VHS of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (its DVD counterpart used the "Video & DVD" versions), and made its first DVD appearances on Recess: All Growed Down and Recess: Taking the Fifth Grade.
• Certain VHS releases, as described above and below this section, use different versions of this bumper that are tailor-made specifically for the release. However, the clip-ons and voiceovers remain the same. Examples include:
  • The 1999 60th Anniversary VHS release of Pinocchio (1940)
  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
  • Inspector Gadget (1999)
  • Playhouse Disney VHS tapes from 2000-05
  • Most teen-oriented Buena Vista, Marvel, and Miramax VHS tapes from 2002-05
• There are two variants for the "Coming Soon to Theaters from Disney & Pixar" clip-on:
  • The font is in a bolder and slightly narrower Helvetica font, "Coming Soon" is above the gold rectangle, "to Theaters" is in it, and "From Disney & Pixar" (with "From" smaller) is arranged below it. In addition, the text is already partially shown just as the bumper appears. This variant is seen only on the original 2000 VHS and DVD releases of Toy Story 2.
  • "Coming Soon to Theaters" (now in the normal Helvetica Light font) is arranged above the gold rectangle and "FROM DISNEY & PIXAR" (in the Verdana font used for the Now Available to Own on DVD ID of the time) is in said rectangle. This variant is seen only on the original 2002 VHS release of Monsters, Inc..
• There are two variants for the “Now Available on Video” clip-on:
  • On the 2000 VHS re-release of I'll Be Home for Christmas, "Now Available" is slightly narrower and "on Video" is in a widened Verdana font.
  • On the 2002 VHS release of Spider-Man: The Return of the Green Goblin, "Now Available" is in Helvetica and "on Video" is in Verdana.
• There are two variants for the “Now Available to Own On DVD” clip-on:
  • On VHS tapes such as the 2002-05 VHS releases of the Vault Disney Collection series, Sweet Home Alabama, Moonlight Mile, Freaky Friday (2003), Scary Movie 3, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, the slide-in is rougher, and the bottom text is in Verdana. Although most DVDs use the second variant, this variant continued usage on Roger Corman, Miramax and Dimension titles such as the 2005-06 DVD releases of Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, The Great Raid, Hostage, Tsotsi, Asphalt Wars, Keeping Up with the Steins, Daltry Calhoun, An Unfinished Life, Bride & Prejudice, and Chicago: The Razzle-Dazzle Edition.
  • On most DVDs, both of the texts are presented in their usual font and slide-in smoothly.
• There are two variants for the “Previews” clip-on:
  • 2000-01 demo tapes, such as The Kid, crazy/beautiful, High Fidelity, and Chocolat, feature a partly-formed still image of the bumper, and "Previews" sliding in from the left.
  • 2001-04 demo tapes, such as Unbreakable, Jerry Seinfeld: Comedian, Moonlight Mile, and Cold Creek Manor feature the bumper animating as usual, except this time, "Previews" comes down from the top.
• There are two variants for the "New from Disney Interactive" clip-on:
  • "New From" is arranged above the gold rectangle in a white Helvetica font and "Disney Interactive" (in the Verdana font used for the Now Available to Own on DVD ID of the time) is in said rectangle.
  • A still version of this bumper appears only on the 2000 VHS release of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins.
• On Australian VHS tapes, there are also ratings bumpers that remove all the lines and rectangles from the background. The clip-ons for this are written in the Helvetica Light font and appear like this:

• There are two variants for the “Feature Presentation” clip-on:
  • On the standard "Feature Presentation" clip-on, the bumper moves differently. On a gold background, we see the text "Feature Presentation" zooming to the left. Then, "Feature" zooms to the left and the "Presentation" zooms to the right, changing the background to a blue background with a blurry filmreel on it, and they connect together in the middle. Gold arrows and multicolored rectangles move around the bumper in different ways.
  • On some tapes from 2001-05, an alternate "Feature Presentation" bumper is shown like this: We see a CGI version of Cinderella Castle on a cloud, with fireworks exploding on a dusk background. We zoom in and through the entrance at the same time as some stars. A large firework goes off in the center of the screen, while circles of filmstrips spin around, with a still image of a Disney/Pixar film on each frame. A circle of stars spins at the top of it. The filmstrips and circle of stars then go down as the text "FEATURE PRESENTATION", in gold (and in the same font as the 1st CGI FP bumper from the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS release of The Little Mermaid), comes up from the bottom of the screen. After the "Feature Presentation" text rises up to the center of the screen, several fireworks fly up and explode behind the text. Then the bumper fades out.
• There are two variants for the “Feature Program” clip-on:
  • An earlier version used a still image that has the words scrunched together. In this case, the "Feature Program" text is very large. While "Feature" is slightly narrower, "Program" is wider and positioned above the golden strip.
  • A later version contains the same animation as the second variant of the "Coming Soon to Theaters from Disney & Pixar" clip-on, except with "Feature" on top and "Program" on the golden strip.
• On the "After the Feature" variant, the animation of the logo seems to be slowed down as well.
• After the movie/program, the text "Special Bonus Material" is pasted over a textless version of the background from the usual Filmreel ID. This variant appears only on Australian VHS tapes.
• Very rare variants exist on Australian VHS tapes which feature very generic text and concern specific "after the feature" events. Instead of matching up with the other bumpers, some bumpers don't match at all, instead being in a plain white Arial font, with a black shadow drop effect applied:
  • "Stay tuned after the feature for a special music video"
  • "Stay tuned after the feature for a bonus short"
  • "Stay tuned after this feature for special bonus material"
• There is an extremely rare variant that is seen on the 2000 VHS release of Diamonds. The colored squares and golden arrows are removed from the Filmreel background, and instead of the usual text, we see "Join Us After the Feature for a Special Message," in gold, displayed on the screen.
• A few of the clip-ons were translated into Spanish and French for U.S. Spanish and French Canadian VHS and DVD releases, respectively.
• Many different variants of the Sneak Peaks menu were created, so much so that a separate page was needed just for documenting them all.

Technique: The coming down of the clip-on, the rectangles and lines moving in, and the spinning film reels. Some of the clip-ons, however, have the text animate differently or only show a still image with no animation at all, especially the Australian bumpers. For the custom "Feature Presentation" clip-on, the exploding fireworks, the filmstrips spinning, and the text rising, great CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A somber 2-note flat electronic synth theme, with electronic beeping in the background, and a slight whoosh/choir near the end, with Brian Cummings announcing the clip-on.

• The "Disney Interactive", "From Playhouse Disney", "Now Available for PSP", and Australian variations do not have an announcer.
• The international "On Video and DVD" bumper is completely silent. The "Coming Soon to Theaters" and "Coming Soon to Own on Video and DVD" bumpers are also silent on the 2000-05 DVD releases of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and the original release of Sin City, as is the "Coming Soon to Own on DVD" bumper on the 2003 DVD release of Daredevil vs. Spider-Man (The VHS version of the former and the latter's other bumpers, however, use the normal audio).
• The standard "Feature Presentation" clip-on and the "Feature Program" clip-ons used a flat, somber 4-note synth theme culminating in a distant drumroll.
• A version of the "Feature Presentation" bumper with Beau Weaver announcing Cummings' line “And now, our feature presentation.” at a slightly faster rate exists.
• Another version of the "Feature Presentation" ID consists of Brian Cummings announcing his line in a cheerful tone of voice. This version appears on Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection VHS tapes and 2000-02 VHS releases of other family-friendly titles from WDHV and BVHE. It premiered on the Gold Classic Collection VHS release of Mulan (1998) and last appeared on The Adventures of Tom Thumb and Thumbelina and Monsters, Inc. This voiceover variant was also used on some of its custom IDs listed above and below.
• On the Diamonds variant of the “Join Us...” clip-on, the ID is silent except for Tom Kane saying, "Join us after the feature for a special message from Kirk Douglas."
• On the demo tape of Inspector Gadget 2, the exact same voiceover from Brian Cummings and music from the standard edition's animated version of the 1992-2006 Stay Tuned ID are heard instead.
• On the "After the Feature" variant, Tom Kane says, "Watch the trailers from writer/director Quentin Tarantino, coming up right after the feature." Instead of the standard flat music, a song from the film's soundtrack, "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" by Tomoyasu Hotei, is used in its place.
• On the custom "Feature Presentation" variant, the announcer is absent, and a loud, majestic fanfare with a change in pitch at the very end is used.
• On post-2001 DVDs and titles with the “...DVD and Video”, “Now Available on Video” and “...to Own on DVD” clip-ons, Cummings' voiceover is heard in the middle of the bumper instead of the beginning.
• On most DVDs with the “Coming Soon on DVD”, “Now Available to Own on Video and DVD”, and “Now Available on DVD” clip-ons beginning in 2001, Cummings’ voiceover is more enthusiastic.
• On DVDs with the “Now Available to Own on DVD” clip-on, Cummings’ voiceover is more relaxed; more relaxed sounding voiceovers were also used for the "DVD & VIDEO" bumper variants that began usage in 2003. Strangely, the 2006 DVD release of Asphalt Wars instead uses the original voiceover.
• On VHS up until 2003, as well as the 2002 DVD release of Max Keeble's Big Move, Cummings' voiceover is heard about half a second after the bumper begins. On most DVDs, there is a slight delay before the voiceover is heard on most clip-ons.
• On the 2004-05 DVD releases of Open Range, The Haunted Mansion, and Prozac Nation, the audio for their respective "Coming Soon TO OWN ON DVD & VIDEO," "Coming Soon to Theaters," and "Now Available to Own on DVD" clip-ons is out of sync.
• On the trailer for Alias: The Complete Fourth Season (on the DVD of Desperate Housewives: The Complete First Season), the "Coming Soon to Own on DVD" variant is silent.

Music/Sounds Trivia: The music score for this style of clip-on is entirely custom, composed by Walter Werzowa at Musikvergnuegen, who also composed the Intel leitmotif & its variants used beginning in 1994, the music of the 1998-2006 Buena Vista Home Entertainment logo, DTS's Sonic Landscape logo, the second Legendary Pictures logo, and the EW Scripps news music package used from 2009-2012.

Availability: Though the availability of each clip-on variant varies, the ID as a whole is very common, since it appeared on numerous VHS tapes and DVDs released under the Walt Disney family of labels (Buena Vista, Walt Disney, Touchstone, Miramax, Dimension, and Hollywood) during this time period. However, they do not appear on some early-to-mid-2000s Dimension Home Video VHS tapes and some Warren Miller tapes (as they used Flashbang bumpers), the 2003 Miramax DVD release of Mouth to Mouth, early Disney DVDs that contain Disney's FastPlay (they had no bumpers), or VHS tapes from February 2006-February 2007 (as they were only distributed by Disney Movie Club and had no previews).

• The bumpers first appeared on the 1999 VHS releases of Disney's Annie and Miramax's The Very Thought of You, both released on the same day. The last VHS tapes with the primary "Feature Presentation" clip-on were Bambi II and the demo VHS of Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time, and the last releases with the clip-on set overall were the original 2006 DVDs of Cars, High School Musical: Remix Edition, and Disney DVD Game World: Disney Dogs Edition - Blue Ribbon Challenge.
• The "Coming Soon to Theaters from Disney & Pixar" variants only appear on the original VHS releases of Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc., as well as the former's original DVD.
• The "Disney Interactive" variant is seen on the 2000-03 VHS releases of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, Mickey's House of Villains, Sorority Boys, ESPN's Ultimate X: The Movie, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
• The "Now in Theaters" variant was first seen on the 2000 VHS of Woman Wanted. Like with the Flashbang variant, it was only rarely used, but it can be found on the 2003 VHS and DVD releases of Bringing Down the House, the 2005 DVD release of Finding Neverland, and the 2005 VHS release of Darkness, among a few others. It was also apparently intended to be used on the 2000 Gold Classic Collection DVD of A Goofy Movie, preceding a trailer for Fantasia 2000, but both are hidden within the disc files and not used on the actual release (probably because of a release date delay or an authoring mistake).
• The "On Video & DVD" variant is seen on UK/Irish and Greek DVDs.
• The "Now Available Collector's Edition DVD" variant can be seen on the 2005 DVD release of The Great Raid.
• The first DVD to use these bumpers is the original 2000 release of Tarzan, and the last to use them were the 2006 DVD releases of Cars, High School Musical: Remix Edition, and Disney DVD Game World: Disney Dogs Edition - Blue Ribbon Challenge.
• Some demo tapes, such as Swing and Music of the Heart, use the standard clip-ons instead of the "Previews" one. Conversely, the "Coming Soon to Theaters" clip-on appears on a few demo tapes, such as Jerry Seinfeld: Comedian and Moonlight Mile, alongside the "Previews" one.
• The "Video" variants were last seen in the summer of 2005, examples being A Lot Like Love and The Pacifier.
• The earlier "Feature Program" version can be seen on some 2000 tapes, such as Out of the Box: Happy Holidays and the re-releases of the Winnie the Pooh: Storybook Classics and 101 Dalmatians: Christmas. This version reappeared on several tapes from 2005: Disney Princess - Princess Stories Volume 2, Cadet Kelly, My Scene Goes Hollywood: The Movie, Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie, Power Rangers S.P.D. VHS tapes, the demo tape of Bambi II, and The Even Stevens Movie. However, some of them are full-fledged movies.
• The later "Feature Program" version is seen only on the 2002-04 VHS releases of Spider-Man: The Return of the Green Goblin, Schoolhouse Rock!: 30th Anniversary Edition, The Incredible Hulk (1996), Disney's Sing Along Songs: Brother Bear - On My Way, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: Planet of the Lost, and Disney’s Sing Along Songs: Home on the Range - A Little Patch of Heaven.
• The Beau Weaver version of the "Feature Presentation" clip-on is extremely rare, as it was only seen on the 2000 VHS releases of Toy Story and Tarzan. The 2005 reprint of the latter has the standard Brian Cummings voiceover, while the former was only released on DVD that year.
• The custom "Feature Presentation" clip-on isn't as common as the standard one, but it appears on the 2001-05 VHS releases of Atlantis: The Lost Empire, all 2001-05 Platinum Edition releases, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas: Special Edition, 2002 prints of the Gold Classic Collection reissue of Mary Poppins, and The Incredibles, among others. The last tape with this bumper was the 2005 Platinum Edition VHS of Cinderella.
• The "Sneak Peek" clip-on always precedes the long trailer for The Lion King 1 1/2, and was seen on fall 2003 VHS releases like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Music Man, George of the Jungle 2, and Finding Nemo, along with the 2004 VHS of Pokémon Heroes (their DVD versions all skip it).
• The "Sneak Peeks" version is, arguably, the most common of all, as it can be seen on many DVD releases of Buena Vista-owned properties from the period. However, since it is more of a menu than a bumper, it can only be accessed by selecting "Sneek Peeks" from the main menu of the DVD. It first appeared on both Rolie Polie Olie: Springy-Time Fun (in still form) and Spot: Where's Spot/Spot Goes to the Farm (in animated form), and was last seen on StarStruck: Extended Edition. Legacy: The quality of the clip-ons from this era of bumpers is wildly inconsistent, arguably more so than any of the other styles of bumpers. On a positive note, the subdued, soothing atmosphere marks this era of bumpers as a thankfully calmer and more welcoming turn after the tenure of the 1994 era of bumpers.

• While some of the clip-ons properly match the layout and overall quality of the FP bumper of the time, other clip-ons are visibly not as good, and still other clip-ons look like they were made on a shoestring budget.
• As for the earlier "Feature Program" version, ​​this bumper has been criticized as a rush job by some, due to the still animation and the smaller "Program" text not in the gold bar, both of which contrast significantly with most bumpers from the era. Presumably, this was a placeholder for the previously mentioned bumper, but even by those standards, it's still considered sloppy. The later “Feature Program” version can be considered an improvement over the previous one as more effort was put into it, although the earlier variant was used more often.
• For the "Feature Presentation" clip-on, it has been widely regarded as one of Disney's most memorable bumpers, due to the soothing music and the stand-out animation from its companion bumpers. The Beau Weaver variant of the announcers seems to be faded out a little too early, though, making it sound like he's saying "And now, our feature presentashi".
• For the custom "Feature Presentation" clip-on, the fanfare and the fast pace can catch some viewers off guard, even those who expected the original "Feature Presentation" bumper, but it is safely suitable.

Trivia:

• In the earliest days of the ID, only three color schemes were used: purple, red, and green. Later in 2007, pink and black and white were introduced. In 2008, starting with No Country for Old Men, aquamarine and dandelion were introduced as well. In 2011, however, most of the color schemes were abandoned in favor of purple. The international and UMD variants only use an orange background.
• Some DVD releases prior to 2011 only use one color for the clip-ons on the disc. For example, The Invisible and Alice in Wonderland: Special Un-Anniversary Edition only feature a red background for the clip-ons.
• On the 2010 DVD release of Surrogates, the "Coming Soon to Blu-ray and DVD" clip-on precedes a trailer for Everybody's Fine, which wasn't actually released on Blu-ray until 2012, as part of Lionsgate's deal with Miramax that allowed them home video rights to part of their catalog.
• Until the mid-2010s, the "Blu-ray and DVD" IDs would appear alongside the "Theaters" ones.
• In 2008, an animation style not unlike that seen in these bumpers was adopted for use on the Sneak Peeks menu.
• These clip-ons were mostly relegated to most Buena Vista DVD releases while Blu-rays use the next clip on.
• These and the next set of clip-ons have no announcers saying the on-screen text.
• Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, releases featuring 2020 projects had snafus that affected their status. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Frozen II respectively have the "Coming to Theaters" clip-on precede trailers for Mulan (2020) and Onward, the former of which was instead released on Disney+ (although it did have a theatrical run before the pandemic). On The Call of the Wild (2020), the trailer for Jungle Cruise still says "In Theaters 2020," despite it eventually being released the next year. Coincidentally, the titles mentioned were among the last releases to feature these bumpers.
• The Now in Theaters bumper was lost, but was discovered in 2022.
• On the "To Own On DVD" clip-ons, before "On DVD" zooms out along with "To Own", there is a silver object wiping down the right side of the screen for a second before it disappears. The animation of the text zooming out also looks unstable. These could possibly be due to animation errors.

Variants:

• The colors of the background, lens flares and sparks of light may differ on each DVD. Color variations include purple, red, green, flaming pink, aquamarine, dandelion, and black and white. This was only used from 2006-11; starting with the DVD reissue of Bambi, only purple was used, although other colors would be used twice more on Tangled and Gnomeo & Juilet.
  • The international clip-ons only use an orange background.
• For the home video clip-ons, a blank DVD appears in the upper left corner of the screen.
• For the "Theaters"/"Cinemas" clip-ons, a filmreel appears in the upper left corner of the screen instead. The international "In Cinemas" clip-on features an alternate design.
• Many variations of the "Theaters" clip-ons exist:
  • On 2006-10 DVDs, "To" is capitalized and in a bold Times New Roman font.
  • In 2010, "To" was changed to a thin Trebutchet MS "to."
  • An early version of the "Coming Soon To Theaters" ID consists of a dark grey background with a pair of filmreels spinning (used as a background from the filmreel IDs and possibly uses ether the 2005 variant or 2008 variant of Sneak Peeks Menu background) as opposed to the standard blurry multi-colored background. In addition, the text is shifted further off to the left, "Theaters" is slightly wider, and "To" comes in from behind the filmreel. This variant appears on the 2006-09 DVD releases of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Dan in Real Life, Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive - Pink Emerald, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Power Rangers: Jungle Fury - Into the Jungle, Swing Vote, and Brideshead Revisited.
  • Two variants exist for the "Now in/in Theaters" clip-on:
    • On the original variant, "Now" turns downward to face the viewer, while "IN" zooms out and slides all over the screen before settling below "Now." In addition, "IN" is in all caps and in a bold Times New Roman font.
    • On the later variant, "Now in" turns downward to face the viewer, while "Theaters" does its usual animation.
• This series of IDs may appear in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen or 1.33:1 fullscreen, depending on the intended aspect ratio of each DVD. However, some 2006-07 DVD releases of widescreen films (such as Invincible, The Prestige, Venus, The Lookout, and Our Very Own) present the bumpers in 1.33:1 instead.
• A "windowboxed" 1.85:1 version can be found on the 2008-09 DVD releases of Home Improvement: The Complete Eighth Season and seasons 7 and 8 of Scrubs.
• French DVDs have the international clip-ons translated into French.
• On the UMD variants, after a while, a filmstrip fades in the center of the background. In addition, the text is in a different font and quickly zooms out one by one.
• Just like the 1999-2010 bumpers, pressing "Sneak Peeks" on the main menu of DVDs from 2008-09 brings forth a specialized menu, this time tailored to match the look of these bumpers.
• On the 2007 UK/Irish DVD release of The Wild (one of the first UK/Irish DVDs to use this bumper), the text "Press MENU to play movie or to select other options." is shown at the bottom of the screen during the "On DVD" clip-on.
  • The French DVD release of Glory Road features this same variant, except it is translated into French.
• On UK/Irish Blu-rays, the clip-on text is sharper.
• An early variant of the "On Blu-ray" clip-on exists, where the text is in all-caps. This was found on the 2007 UK/Irish Blu-ray of Air Force One.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: There are gentle pieces of music, and/or intense scores, depending on the variation and appearance of each bumper. A couple of whooshing sound effects are also present. Below is a list of the following known music cues:

• An upbeat whimsical fanfare. (This can mostly be heard on 2006-08 releases)
• An eerie synth tune, adapted from the intro to the stock music piece "Journey" by William Ashford. (This can be heard on 2006-11 releases such as Invincible, Deja Vu, The Queen, The Prestige, Primeval, Venus, The Lookout, Ratatouille, Step Up, No Country for Old Men, FlashForward: The Complete Series, and Gnomeo & Juilet)
• A fanfare with a triumphant intro and a gentle ending. (This was used from 2007-09, and can be heard on Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Season, Wild Hogs, and the first two volumes of X-Men (1992))
• A six-note string quartet theme, adapted from the ending to "Journey." (This was used from 2007-10, and can be heard on The Lookout, The Hoax, Golden Door, and Greek: Chapter 2)
• An instrumental rendition of "When You Wish Upon a Star." (This can be heard exclusively on Disney releases from 2008-11)
• A seven-note soothing whimsical fanfare. (used on 2007-10 Pixar titles, namely Pixar Short Films Collection Vol 1, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up, and Toy Story 3)
• A rock tune. (This was mainly used from 2009-11, and whenever a clip-on appeared before the official trailer for Tangled, this was the cue used)
• An orchestral fanfare that sounds like something you'd hear in an action movie. (Two arrangements exist.) (This was used from 2008-11)
• A calm piano tune. (This can be heard on The Secret Life of the American Teenager: Season One, Brideshead Revisited, Castle: The Complete First Season, Adventureland, Greek: Chapter 2, Cougar Town: The Complete First Season, Everybody's Fine, and Hannah Montana: Miley Says Goodbye?)
• A bright electric guitar tune. (This was used from 2009-11, and can be heard on Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You, Surrogates, Little Einsteins: Animal Expedition, 10 Things I Hate About You: 10th Anniversary Special Edition, Gary Unmarried: The Complete First Season, and Alice in Wonderland: Special 60th Anniversary Edition)
• A steel drum-driven theme. (This was used on Disney releases from 2009-11)
• An orchestral tune, with an operatic wail. (This can be heard on You Again)
• A bright acoustic guitar tune. (This was used from 2009-11, and can be heard on Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Boys Are Back, Surrogates, and Flash Forward: The Complete Series)

• A fantasy-like glockenspiel-driven tune. (This can be heard on 2009-11 releases such as Doubt, Power Rangers RPM: Race for Corinth, and Castle: The Complete Second Season)
• Three glockenspiel notes. (This can be heard on Brothers & Sisters: The Complete 4th Season and Cougar Town: The Complete First Season)

• A rapidly ascending piano/keyboard tune. (These next two cues can be heard on The Last Song)

• A four-note string tune with a couple of piano notes heard during the final note. (This can be heard on Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam)
• A third calm piano tune, with eight quick notes leading into a sustained final note. (This can be heard on James and the Giant Peach: Special Edition)

Music/Sounds Variants:

• In 2008, the original set of music cues was replaced with a different set of cues. Some of them are driven by acoustic guitars, while a couple feature prominent electric guitar. However, some of the original cues were still used.
• The Sneak Peeks menu variant uses the same music as before.
• Starting in 2011, the music that appeared on the Blu-ray equivalent of these bumpers is used as the standard theme (which varies depending on whether the cue used on those bumpers is the one from 2011 or the one from 2012). The original primary cue (adapted from yet another part of "Journey") was first used in 2006 on Invincible, with the "Coming Soon TO THEATERS" clip-on, and wasn't used again until You Again, with the "Coming Soon to Blu-ray and DVD" clip-on. The 2011 primary music cue was last used in 2012, but made surprise appearances on Frozen and Sleeping Beauty: Diamond Edition, both released in 2014. The second primary cue was first used in 2012 on The Avengers, with the "Coming Soon to THEATERS" clip-on.
  • Both of these cues were used on Frozen, with the 2012 cue playing over the "Coming Soon to Blu-ray and DVD" clip-on and the 2006/11 cue playing over the "Coming Soon to Theaters" clip-on.
• The UMD and international variants only feature the whooshing, except in cases where the "On DVD" clip-on is used in North America.
  • On the 2009 French DVD release of WALL-E, the 2007 primary music cue is in PAL Pitch.

• The cues listed above came from the Opus 1 Music Library, the JW Media Library, and the Audio Horizons Music Library from the Spirit Production Music website. (Some of the music can be found here in these links: Journey, The Giant Ver 1)
• On the 2007 DVD release of DuckTales: Volume 3, the same cue is used on both clip-ons.

• It was first seen in prototype form on late 2005 UMD releases for the PlayStation Portable (such as on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), and appeared on every DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and its subsidiaries (Buena Vista, Pixar, Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures, Miramax, Marvel, and in 2020, 20th Century Studios) from the 2006 DVD release of The Cheetah Girls 2 up until the 2020 remake of The Call of the Wild.

• Strangely, the 2014-19 DVD releases of Toy Story of Terror!, Big Hero 6, Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars, The Good Dinosaur, Incredibles 2, Missing Link, and Stuber did not contain any bumpers before the previews. For the latter two, they were some of the final releases under the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment name and operations.
• By 2020, most of the clip-ons were retired, since Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Frozen II, and The Call of the Wild (2020) only show the "Coming Soon to Theaters" bumper. Newer releases either have no previews at all, or just go straight to the opening previews without a clip-on following.

Legacy: While these bumpers have faced some criticism for looking cheap, they have largely been praised for being an improvement over previous series of bumpers, thanks to its animation advances and wider selection of musical cues (although its post-2011 limitations to the purple color scheme and one of two musical cues may face some criticism). The variety of colors and metallic typefaces help make each clip-on stand out smoothly as well. However, because most DVDs now have no clip-ons, and Disney's focus on Disney+, the days of this bumper may be numbered.

40th Bumper (April 3, 2007-) (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment) (Blu-ray)

Variants:

• After the trailers on DVD and Blu-ray releases from 2010-11, such as Alice in Wonderland (2010), Toy Story 3, the Diamond Edition of The Lion King (1994), and the 25th Anniversary Edition of The Black Cauldron, the same background is used, but the text reads "To view these trailers and more." It appears above logos for various Buena Vista-owned releases (a layout similar to the Sneak Peeks Menu). Below it is the text "Press Sneak Peeks on the main menu".
• A still version is used where the text is replaced with "All films and promotions may not be available in all territories." This version debuted in October 6, 2009, and appears on DVD and Blu-rays from Disney and its subsidiaries as soon as all the previews are over. This is the only clip-on still in use after Disney stopped using other clip-ons on their newer titles by late 2020.
• On some DVDs and Blu-rays from the early 2010s, the text reads "Stay tuned for exciting Previews including..." with the film's logo in the middle. Below it is "Press Top Menu to play movie or to select other options." It is also still.
  • A variant of this exists for Toy Story 3, which consists of the logo reveal from the teaser trailer. This can only be seen on the first two movies' 2010 Blu-rays & other Blu-rays released from 2009-10.
  • Another variant exists, which is set over a still frame from the 2006 Disney logo, and has the first line reading "Stay tuned for exciting Previews..." This is mainly used on Blu-rays from 2011 onward (beginning with the 2011 3D Blu-ray of Toy Story Trilogy), though some BDs, such as Black Panther, instead use the normal BG.
    • The above variant first appeared on the 2010 UK/Irish Blu-ray of A Bug's Life, but with different text.

• Beginning in late 2012, a different orchestral fanfare is heard. This fanfare debuted on the Blu-ray release of The Avengers.
• None for the still versions.
• On the "Sneak Peeks" version, we hear a whimsical tune, which had previously been used on the previous ID from 2006-08.
• On the Toy Story 3 version of "Stay tuned for exciting Previews including..." variant, a piece of the score is heard.
• On the UK/Irish "On Blu-ray and DVD" clip-on, one of the music cues from the U.S./Canada 2006 clip-on series is used.

Music/Sounds Trivia: In 2011, the musical cues were adapted for use on the previous ID.

Availability: Very common.

• Seen on numerous Disney Blu-rays and a few DVDs of the era, starting with the 2007 Blu-ray releases of King Arthur and G.I. Jane.
• As with the previous bumper, by 2020 only the "Coming to THEATERS" clip-on was shown, and Onward was the last release to use it altogether, though the "Stay tuned For Exciting Previews..." and "All films and promotions..." bumpers are still used. For the former bumper, with Disney debuting a new logo on September 9, 2022 for its upcoming centenary in 2023, its days may be numbered.
• Some releases such as Big Hero 6, The Good Dinosaur, Space Buddies, Stuber, and Missing Link don't have any bumpers before previews.
• The "Coming to Blu-ray Disc" clip-on was also used as part of the opening logo on a bootleg DVD of The Wolfman (2010), a Universal film, complete with the fanfare from the shortened WDSHE logo.

41st Bumper (November 6, 2007-August 25, 2009) (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment)

• 

Bumper: We start out with clips from many Disney movies. It differs depending on the country, year or period of time that the DVD or Blu-ray was released in, but the first three always remain the same: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Peter Pan (1953), and The Princess Diaries. Eventually, the camera then zooms out, revealing a wall of hundreds of clips from Disney movies, both animated and live-action, old and new. More and more clips fly out, replacing some others. One by one, the words "MOVIES.", "MAGIC.", and "MORE." zoom out and fade out in various directions. Then all of the clips come together to form the 2006 Disney Castle. The ring gets drawn around the castle, as usual, then "DiSNEY", in the 2006 remake of its famous script, fades in below. After a few seconds, the bumper fades to black and a brief screen that advertises many of the films featured in the bumper appears. The text "AVAILABLE ON (DVD logo) AND (Disney Blu-ray Disc logo)" and the titles (which may also differ depending on the previously mentioned country, year or period of time that the DVD and Blu-ray was released in) are shown in a white narrow font.

Trivia:

• The appearance and positioning of the "DiSNEY" text would be used to replace the "WALT DiSNEY PICTURES" text on current Disney films beginning with the November 2011 theatrical premiere of The Muppets, only it would appear out of the fairy dust coming out of the gate, instead of simply fading in. The “WALT DiSNEY PICTURES” variant made its final appearances at the beginning of the 2012 film Treasure Buddies and at the end of the theatrical release of The Lone Ranger (2013).
• This ID is commonly referred to as "There is only one, Disney" by individuals across the globe.
• Despite being mentioned in the third version of this ID, which debuted on the 2008 DVD and Blu-ray releases of WALL-E, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was not released on both formats until December 2nd of that year. Once again, this could be considered false advertising.
• This was the Home Entertainment logo for Disney from 2007-2009.
• A lot of the movies shown in the promo weren't released on Blu-ray until years later (mostly 2009-2015) when this promo ended.
• In terms of release date, the appearances of each version of this ID are very inconsistent.
  • Even after the second version debuted on the 2008 DVD and Blu-ray releases of National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, various titles from mid-late 2008 continued to use the first version.
  • Even after the third version debuted on the 2008 DVD and Blu-ray releases of WALL-E, various titles from late 2008-mid 2009 continued usage of the second version.

Variant: As mentioned above, the remaining clips in the Disney Castle sequence and selection of titles in the "AVAILABLE ON (DVD logo) AND (Disney Blu-ray Disc logo)" screen may differ depending on the country, year or brief period of time that the DVD or Blu-ray was released in. Technique: All modern and beautiful effects that stand out nicely to this day.

Music/Sounds: An edited version of the overture from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (also used as the theme of American Masters and the post-1991 Morgan Creek logos). On the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest clip, we hear Jack Sparrow state "We have our heading.", and on the Peter Pan (1953) clip, we hear the titular character bellow "Here we GOOOOO!" After the Peter Pan (1953) clip, an announcer (Tony Rodgers) says, "From the magic within our hearts...to the adventure beyond the horizon...there is only one, Disney." As soon as the announcer finishes speaking, the overture rises to a beautiful, triumphant state and ends with a majestic climax.

Music/Sounds Variant: If you select "Español" at the start of Disney DVDs from 2008-09, the dialogue is translated into Spanish. In addition, subtitle translations for the English text appear at the bottom of the screen, and they are also read aloud.

Availability: Common. Seen at the beginning of numerous DVDs and Blu-rays released by Disney during this time period, preceding either the post-2006 bumpers (for non-FastPlay DVDs), the post-2007 bumpers (for Blu-rays), or the FastPlay bumper (for FastPlay DVDs). In general, this bumper debuted on the 2007 DVD and Blu-ray releases of Ratatouille (which was released under the WDHE Name), and the final release to use it was The Suite Life on Deck: Anchors Away.

• Some other early discs with this ID include Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, the 2007 Collector’s Edition re-release of National Treasure, High School Musical 2: Extended Edition, Underdog (2007), The Game Plan, the 2008 reprint of Hannah Montana: Livin’ the Rock Star Life, Hannah Montana: One in a Million, Twitches Too: Double Charmed Edition, and Snow Buddies, which also contain the print logos for Walt Disney (Studios) Home Entertainment on the packaging, along with the first version of this ID.
• The final titles with this ID include the 2009 DVD and Blu-ray releases of The Suite Life on Deck: Anchors Away, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, and The Tigger Movie: 10th Anniversary Edition, all of which contain the either the second or final versions of this ID. Both versions later reappeared on the 2013 DVD releases of The Sword in the Stone: 50th Anniversary Edition and Oliver & Company: 25th Anniversary Edition, and the 2019 Blu-Ray release of A Bug's Life, respectively, due to them recycling content from their previous 2008-09 DVDs and Blu-Ray.
• Please note that this ID did not appear on the 2007-08 DVD and Blu-Ray releases of Pixar Short Films Collection: Volume 1, Cars (as well as 2006 DVD release, this bumper was not out at the time), The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Claus, My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Super Sleuth Christmas Movie, Wish Gone Amiss, Return to Never Land: Pixie-Powered Edition, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True: Special Edition, and The Aristocats: Special Edition, possibly since these were released as the final titles under the Walt Disney Home Entertainment name. It also does not appear on the second disc of all 2-disc DVDs/Blu-rays that WDSHE released during this time period or any of the company’s releases since fall 2009, since they contain the abridged WDSHE logo instead. It also does not appear on the 2019 DVD and Blu-Ray releases of Ratatouille and WALL-E as they go straight to the other opening previews, and also due to them being reprints of their original 2007-08 Blu-Rays and DVDs.
• In the wake of Buena Vista's renaming to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in November 2007 and the liquidation of their Walt Disney Home Entertainment label in February 2008, this ID appears on international editions of their DVDs and Blu-rays as well, starting with the 2007 international DVD of Air Buddies.

Legacy: This is a great ID that contemplates the current movie logo nicely. If this ID continued usage on subsequent DVDs and Blu-Rays from the 2010s and 2020s, then more recent titles (even those from other labels such as Marvel Studios & Lucasfilm) would have been showcased and advertised.

Final Note: After the DVD and Blu-ray releases of The Call of the Wild (2020) and Onward, respectively, Disney largely stopped using clip-on bumpers on their newer titles under the Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures labels, in-between their accompanying trailers, so newer releases only include the previews (first three companies), or no previews at all (latter four companies).
