1st Logo (1971-1972)
Logo: On a black background, we see a white rectangle then a pink, yellow, red, green, blue and cyan forming a "4". The Gato mascot jumps out of the "4" while it zooms out and starts playing the bongos with Rica text and "WAPA-TV" appearing and flashing in sync with the bongos.
Technique: The Forming and the Gato jumping out of the 4 are pretty choppy.
Music/Sounds: An announcer saying "Esta es WAPA-TV Canal Cuatro San Juan, Televicentro de Puerto Rico." ("This is WAPA-TV Channel Four San Juan, Televicentro of Puerto Rico"), with bongos playing at the end.
Availability: Extinct.
