Tips

  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first — it's fine to edit using common sense. If you have any questions, just ask a more experienced editor on their talk page or message board.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, don't edit-war over it, discuss it on the article's talk page
  • Just have fun!

Happy editing!

Regarding your recent page addition

Hi, please don't create blank or otherwise unfinished pages in the mainspace as you did with TF! IDs. You may work on unfinished pages in your sandbox or in the Drafts namespace (Draft:(page name)). You may also suggest logos for other editors to describe at our Logos to be Described page. Thank you! HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 22:02, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Reminder regarding nicknames

Hi 20thcenturyfox1981, we have currently retired nicknames from use on articles following the passing of this proposal, though a currently-ongoing RfC that is likely to pass would reinstate official nicknames into headers. In the future, please do not add unofficial or unnotable nicknames to articles, and once the aforementioned RfC passes, only add nicknames if they are official. Thank you! Regarding your recent edits to Nick Jr. Productions

Hi, please do not remove unused logos as you did with Nick Jr. Productions, as, even if the logos in question may not have been used, we still wish to document such logos on the wiki as part of our mission of being a comprehensive database on logos, bumpers and IDs. As for your edit on THX, please refrain from adding unofficial nicknames that are not widely used, as we now only use official nicknames or nicknames popular within the logo community that are given to logos, and the 11th trailer is officially known as "Science". Thank you! HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 18:08, 16 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Regarding your recent edit to 1000 Eyes

Hello, please do not add irrelevant and/or uninformative comments or other content to mainspace pages as you did with 1000 Eyes, as such edits can be construed as vandalism and can result in a block. If you wish to make humorous comments or other comments about certain logos, I suggest doing so exclusively on a dedicated user page and not on any of the mainspace articles. Thank you. Regarding your recent image upload/edit to Revolution Studios

Hello. I came across your recent image upload and your edit to Revolution Studios. Despite not being stated in the guidelines, it is ideal for images/captures to be as high-quality. And your image was just a low-resolution copy of File:Revolution Studios (2006).png.

For this reason, I have marked your image for deletion. Please keep images as clear as possible. Otherwise, I wish you a good day! Thanks in advance! Doctorine Dark (talk) 08:29, 27 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Regarding redirects

Hello, please do not blank pages for no reason as you did with C/FP Distribution and Cinépix Film Properties, as such edits can be construed as vandalism and can result in a block. If you blanked these pages because you wanted to merge or delete them with another page, please discuss it with other users on the article's talk page. Thank you. A Quick Tutorial on Wikitext

It has occured to me that you don't quite have a grip on how wikitext works here. As such, I am going to give you a quick rundown on what has gone wrong with a recent post you've made to an RFC.

In this RFC, you've entered the following text:

Strongest in the world absolutely. (20thcenturyfox1981|talk) 16:18, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

This outputs the following:

Support absolutely. (20thcenturyfox1981|talk) 16:18, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

I can tell this isn't what you were aiming for. Allow me to show you what went wrong here.

  1. "Strongest in the world" isn't an official level of support. You have to enter Strongest followed by the "in the world" descriptor contain by five apostrophes on either side, like so: Strongest in the world . this will output as intended.
  2. Your signature here doesn't actually link to your userpage or your talk page. The correct text input would be:
    (User:20thcenturyfox1981 Talk)

With these changes, your response finally looks as intended.

Support in the world absolutely. (User:20thcenturyfox1981 Talk) 16:18, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

And the pure wikitext for if you need it.

Strongest in the world absolutely. (User:20thcenturyfox1981 Talk) 16:18, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

Hope this helps! Eternity Media Group Wordmark.png (name change coming soon) 16:40, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Regarding your recent edits to Microsoft Windows NT

Hi, please do not add fan-made or otherwise false information as you did on the above-linked page, as this wiki aims to be an accurate source of information pertaining to logos and related content. Please keep any fan-made content relegated to a user page. Thank you! HibiscusCrown20 (talk) 21:48, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

so, you were the one that blocked me for violating the rules, even though i'm trying to make avid better. 20thcenturyfox1981 (talk) 17:21, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
