1st Logo (Early 1980s)

Universal Video 1.png

Logo: Over a camera view of a zoom-out space background, the logo fades in and zooms in slowly. It all consists of an outlined abstract, italicized "U" letter, with the blue text "UNIVERSAL VIDEO" in a futuristic looking typeface.

Technique: The zoom in & out, which is prettily simple enough.

Music/Sounds: Starts with a low tone-like sound, with computerized warbling sounds, 4 piano notes which repeats 4 times, changing by each pitch, a jarring-like sound ending with some computerized chimes.

Availability: Only known to be seen on one release which is Cloud Dancer.

2nd Logo (Mid-Late 1980s)

Universal Video 2.png

Logo: On a zooming space background, a blue grid above moves & spins below, then is placed onto it's matching position. The blue grid animates itself, while red glows can be seen behind the grid. The logo from above zooms & flips in.

Technique: The background, the grid and the logo flipping in.

Music/Sounds: A loud whoosh, then a snippet of "Voyage" by Brian Bennett.

Availability: Can be seen on releases during that era.
