St.GIGA Warning Screens
Warning (April 1995-June 30, 2000)
Warning: On a black background, we see a picture of St.GIGA's broadcasting headquarters at night in the center of the screen and, to its left, is white sideways text reading "JO33-BS-TDM1" (the callsign for one of their data broadcasting transmitters) while, at the bottom of the picture, is white Hiragana text informing players that the transmitted data should only be used for its intended purpose. A 3D, metallic version of St.GIGA's logo comes down from the top of the screen, stopping above the warning text before shimmering.
Technique: 2D animation and simple shining effects.
Music/Sounds: An eight-note synth string jingle accompanied by a Super Mario-esque "ka-ping!" noise at the end.
Availability: Extinct. This warning screen was only seen before downloaded broadcasted data was being loaded. As broadcasting services for the Satellaview have been discontinued as of June 30, 2000, this screen can no longer be seen through normal means without loading data from a pre-owned 8M Memory Pack with data on it or by emulation.
Alternate Warning (Mid/Late 1990s-June 30, 2000)
Warning: We fade in to see, on a black background, white text reading "JO23-BS-TDM1" (the callsign for another one of their data broadcasting transmitters), which is above more text reading "St. GIGA". Further down, the same Hirigana warning text from the main warning screen is seen in the same stylization.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: Almost exactly like the main warning screen's synth string jingle, but is one note shorter and the "ka-ping!" sound plays earlier.
Availability: Extinct. This warning screen was only seen before downloaded broadcasted data was being loaded, apparently usually during evening hour Satellaview broadcasts, two examples being a broadcast of BS Super Mario USA Dai-4-kai and the broadcasts of both parts of Satellawalker 2. One of its final appearances was after Satellaguide had been downloaded and before it was loaded during the final day of broadcasting services for the Satellaview. As broadcasting services for the Satellaview have been discontinued as of June 30, 2000, this screen can no longer be seen through normal means without loading data from a pre-owned 8M Memory Pack with data on it or by emulation.
