Background

Entertainment One Family (Referred to as eOne Family) was the children's division of the British branch of Entertainment One. It was originally formed as Rubber Duck Entertainment in July 2005, as part of a split of its parent company Contender Entertainment Group. Rubber Duck functioned as the television division of the now holding company, and handled production and rights management for both TV and merchandise, while Contender Home Entertainment functioned as their home entertainment distributor.

After the rebranding of Contender as E1 UK (Entertainment One UK) in March 2009, Rubber Duck Entertainment was rebranded as E1 Kids, and was rebranded again to eOne Family (Entertainment One Family) in 2010.

As of 2015, the division has been folded under its main parent company.

Rubber Duck Entertainment

(2005-2009)

Logo: On a black background, we see a yellow rubber duck with the words "loved forever" on it in red on a teal square with rounded corners. The duck moves around, like it's swimming in water. The square widens to become a rectangle, and the words "RUBBER DUCK ENTERTAINMENT" fade in on it in white.

Variant: On season 2 of Peppa Pig and season 1 of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom as well as on Humf, the logo is still and in-credit.

Technique: The duck and the rectangle moving, and the words fading in. None for the in-credit still variant.

Music/Sounds: An accordion, spoons, trumpets, and hiccupping sounds played to the tune of "Aquarela do Brasil" finishing off with a keyboard note followed by a quack sound.

Music/Sounds Variant: For the in-credit variant, the end theme of the show is used.

Availability: Can be seen on 2005-2009 DVDs of Peppa Pig. Also appears on the Tractor Tom DVDs "Buzz to the Rescue" (disc 2 only) and "Wheezy’s Wings". The in-credit version appears on season 2 of Peppa Pig, the first half of the first season of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom and Humf.

Legacy: The music is a bit strange especially with the hiccupping, though it's meant to be funny.

E1 Kids

(2009-2010)

Logo: Just an in-credit version of the 2009 E1 Entertainment logo without "ENTERTAINMENT" below and with "KiDS" in an cartoonish orange font with dark blue shadowing.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme to the show.

Availability: Appears on the first half of Series 3 of Peppa Pig and the second half of Series 1 of Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.

eOne Family

(2011-2012)

Logo: Just an in-credit version of the 2010 Entertainment One logo with a green version of the logo's shape under it, positioned at a Dutch angle. The bottom of the green shape reads "family" in a white font, while the standard "entertainmentone" text appears below both.

Variant: Sometimes the logo is all white.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme to the show.

Availability: Appears on the second half of Series 3 and all of Series 4 of Peppa Pig, and Series 2 of Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.
