Logo: On a letterboxed black-blue gradient background, we see a silver line with the word "NEXT" in a futuristic font sliding in. Another silver line with the word "ENTERTAINMENT" in the same futuristic font slides in. A red line then draws between the two silver lines.

Technique: The bars moving, the line drawing.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show or an Fox generic theme.

Availability: Seen on Shocking Behavior Caught on Tape.

2nd Logo (October 8, 1999-May 21, 2003)

Logo: On a black background with green moving lines and dots, we see white lines moving, and then, we see the text "NEXT" in a futuristic font, with "ENTERTAINMENT", also in green, zooms out with a line below with a trail effect. The dots then move, and a light then flashes.

Technique: The lines and dots moving.

Music/Sounds: A rock theme. Original network airings used a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on Shocking Behavior Caught on Tape #2, Spy TV, Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?, Are You Hot? and early episodes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

3rd Logo (September 24, 2003-2011)

Logo: On a black background, we see an outlined arrow sliding in. We reveal the words "NEXT" in a futuristic font, as the orange light slides in. The word "ENTERTAINMENT", also in the same font, folds below, and the light moves and then it glows blue and orange. The logo shines, and a cloud effect moves from behind the logo.

Variants:

  • On There Goes the Neighborhood, the logo is still.
  • On movies, the logo is slowed down and extended and the light dims at the end.
  • On Hostel, the logo is animated normally, then the logo zooms out to the left and the Raw Nerve logo appears.
  • On Hostel: Part II, the logo is shifted to the left and the Raw Nerve logo appears.

Closing Variant: At the end of the first two Hostel movies, a different print logo (consisting of the typewriter word "next" on a box with "entertainment" below in spaced-out letters) is shown on the left of the Raw Nerve logo.

Technique: The light moving.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh sound, the opening/closing theme of the show/movie, a generic theme or none.

Availability: Seen on pre-2011 episodes of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad, as well as The WB's Superstar USA, The Real Gilligan's Island, the first two Hostel movies and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

4th Logo (2011- )

NextEntertainment004 1.webp

Logo: On a black background, the red word "NEXT" in a tall font wipes in from a flame effect. The word "ENTERTAINMENT" wipes in, also in red, cutting out the "XT" in the process, via a flame effect, and then a smoke appears from behind the logo.

Variant: An in-credit version of this logo exists.

Technique: The wiping of the logo.

Music/Sounds: A fire sound or the network's generic theme.
