ITV Studios Global Entertainment is the international distribution unit of ITV Studios. The name is also used as the trading name for ITV Ventures' home media unit in the United Kingdom.

The home media unit's roots began with Carlton and Granada's 2004 merger into ITV plc. At the time, Carlton had their existing home video unit, while Granada had a deal with Video Collection International. The merger meant the deal could be revoked and that Granada programs were able to be released through Carlton's unit, which was absorbed into Granada Ventures, therefore allowing all ITV-produced shows on DVD to be branded under one name. In 2006, Granada Ventures began using ITV DVD as the trading name for the home media division, which later became ITV Studios Home Entertainment.

In 2013, with the wake of ITV's rebranding, the division began trading the name of "ITV Studios Global Entertainment". In 2020, the company started to refer itself as "ITV Studios" due to the phase out of the "Global Entertainment" branding.

Logo: We move in through square pieces over a background of blue and red lights. The square pieces then form the ITV logo of the era, and the lights turn purple. Then it flashes and the word "DVD" appears on the right of the ITV logo.

FX/SFX: The moving pieces, the flashing.

Music/Sounds: A series of drum beats and ascending sounds followed by a chime and a synth theme.

Availability: Uncommon.

  • Appears on ITV DVD releases from this time period, such as the first two volumes of Harry Hill's TV Burp Gold.
  • It also appears on several direct-to-video specials of ITV material, including the Coronation Street specials Out of Africa and Romanian Holiday, the Loose Woman specials Let Loose: The Very Best of Loose Women and Late Night with the Loose Women, The Jeremy Kyle Show: Access All Areas, Tiswas Revisited,
  • It also appears on several children's programmes, including the second volume of Pocoyo & Friends, and certain Numberjacks DVDs. It also appears on releases from the company's "Classic Kids Collection", such as Tots TV: The Naughty Puppies.
  • It has also shown up on DVDs of Rank movies, normally re-releases.
  • This was also used to plaster over the 1999 Carlton Video logo on reauthored re-releases of Carlton Video DVD releases.
  • Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to be on the 2004 re-release of Thunderbirds: The Complete Series that has the logo on the spine, back cover and discs - as the main contents seem to be a complete rerelease of all the 2000/2004 UK DVD releases by Carlton Video, so don't expect it to be on that.
  • It has also shown up on several DVD games, including Classic Bullseye, All-New Bullseye, Countdown, Antony Cotton's Rovers Return Pub Quiz and Catchphrase: The DVD Game.
  • Despite plastering the 1999 Carlton Video logo on the mid-2000s re-release on disc 1 of Joe 90: The Complete Series, it does not appear for the remaining discs as they retain the 1999 Carlton Video logo, and as such, only appears as a in-print logo.

Editor's Note: What is weird is that despite the name, it also appears on Blu-rays as well.

ITV Studios Home Entertainment

Logo: Same as the 2009 ITV Studios logo, but with the words "Home Entertainment" below the words "itv STUDIOS".

FX/SFX: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Music/Sounds: A very weird synth score with underwater sounds.

Availability: Uncommon. It was used on DVDs of ITV shows from this period.

  • It appears on many direct-to-video specials of existing ITV shows, including Harry Hill's TV Burp Gold Volume 3, Coronation Street: A Knight's Tale, the Emmerdale specials The Dingles: For Richer, For Poorer and Paddy and Marlon's Big Night In, Come Dine with Me: Extra Spicy (abit being a Channel 4 series) and the Loose Women specials Loose Women in New York and Christmas with the Loose Women.
  • On shows, you can find this on releases such as Coronation Street Golden Anniversary Edition.
  • Also appears on several acquired shows, such as Iron Man: Armored Adventures - Volume 2, in addition to movies like A Dog Named Christmas.
  • It also appears on releases of ITV material that were released under license by Revelation Films, such as all four seasons of The Raggy Dolls and Tickle on the Tum: The Complete Series One.
  • It also appears on the remastered version of Jeeves and Wooster: The Complete Collection.

Editor's Note: None.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment

1st Logo (2009-2013)

Logo: Same as the 2009 ITV Studios logo, but with "Global Entertainment" below.

  • There is a white background version used for the video game adaptation of Nanny 911, with "Global Entertainment" written below.
  • A similar version with only "GLOBAL" was used on Countdown for the Nintendo DS and also appears on some shows such as Demsey and Makepeace and some movies like The Red Shoes.
  • A black and white version of this logo exists.
  • On the last-two seasons of Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids (titled Grizzly Tales at this point), the logo is next to the Grizzly TV, Honeycomb Animation, Elephant Productions and Nicktoons logos.

FX/SFX: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Music/Sounds: The audio from the ITV Studios Home Entertainment logo or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Common.

  • Plasters over previous logos on newer prints of older ITV shows (mainly those from Granada). It has since been plastered over with the 2013 version, though some prints may still have it intact.
    • It also appears on some DVD releases in place of the ITV Studios Home Entertainment logo, like the reauthored re-releases of disc 2-6 of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
      • It was also seen on American Pocoyo DVDs by NCircle Entertainment (by the time the show aired on Nick Jr. from 2011-2015).
  • The "GLOBAL" variant is very rare. So far, it has only been sighted on ITV4 airings of It's Tommy Cooper, some Dempsey and Makepeace episodes, the 2009 TV movie Held Hostage on Amazon Prime Video, the Criterion Collection releases of The Red Shoes and Black Narcissius, a Movie Channel airing of Friendly Fire (1979), The Last Warrior on Tubi, and Multicom's print of When He Didn't Come Home (1998).

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2013-2020, 2021)

Logo: Same as the 2013 ITV Studios logo, but with the words "GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT" below. It also plays a bit slower than the standard logo.

  • A black and white variant exists.
  • A still version of this logo exists.
  • A 4:3 version of this logo exists. Though some like current prints of The Square Peg (1959) use the colour version instead.
  • An in-credit version exists.
  • On Keep it Spotless, a very sped-up version is used.

FX/SFX: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • Some shows might have the end theme of the programme playing over it (episodes of Knightmare on Challenge have the end of the show's theme playing over it).
  • An extended version of the theme has the notes drawn out a little longer.
  • Both low tone and high tone variants exist.
  • At the end of current prints of at least two episodes of the 1960's classic television series The Prisoner titled "A Change of Mind" and "Fall Out" respectively, you can hear the end of the music from the 1987 ITC Gold Diamonds logo before the logo starts.

Availability: Common.

  • Seen at the beginning of ITV home media releases in the United Kingdom.
  • On television, this is normally used to plaster older logos.
    • It plasters the Anglia logo on the first two seasons of Knightmare (seasons 3 and 4 retain the 1989 "Anglia Production for ITV" endboard) and the Central logo on various episodes of Family Fortunes on Challenge (although recent airings have reinstated the Central logo), as well as the 1994 series of Blockbusters on the same channel.
    • As of recent, this plasters the 2009 ITV Studios logo on 2010-2013 episodes of The Chase when reran on Challenge.
    • This variant can be seen plastering the Granada America logo (and possibly others) on Virgin Media One/Two/Three Ireland airings of most made-for-TV movies whenever they air on the network.
    • Also seen at the beginning (and sometimes end) of many films from the ITV library, including films from The Rank Organisation.
    • This logo was also seen at the end of Hands of the Ripper.
  • This appeared on newer prints of shows, movies and documentaries that were produced by ITV Studios, it's units or other companies like shows produced by it's predecessors Granada, Carlton and appears on shows that were produced by ITC Entertainment.
    • This logo was strangely seen at the beginning and end of current prints of at least two episodes of the 1960's classic television series The Prisoner titled "A Change of Mind" and "Fall Out" (the last ever episode).
    • Don't expect it to appear on Britbox prints of the fifth and sixth seasons of The Saint, as they use older prints (1990s-era) with the 1987 ITC Gold Diamonds logo or no logo at all.
  • Strangely, this logo also does not appear on Challenge airings of Gladiators for unknown reasons.
  • It also appeared on Murdoch Mysteries until 2020, Keep it Spotless Schiit's Creek and Good Which until 2020.
  • It appeared on all three seasons of Poldark, the first five seasons of Shetland, the Blu-ray of My Left Foot and made a surprise appearance on a 2021 episode of Love Island South Africa.
  • The black and white variant was mainly used to plaster over logos on shows that were in black and white, such as the black and white episodes of Upstairs, Downstairs.
  • Despite the in-print logo being seen on the spine and back (and sometimes the disc-labels) of rereleases of pre-2013 releases (including those from Network Distributing), don't expect it to appear on them as they either use the 1999 Carlton Video logo (on disc 2-5 of Joe 90: The Complete Series), the 2004 Granada Ventures logo (mainly on Network Distributing releases), the ITV DVD logo, the ITV Studios Home Entertainment logo or the previous logo,

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (2020-)

Logo: Same as the long version of the 2020 ITV Studios logo, but it's shortened to seven seconds.

FX/SFX: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the ITV Studios logo.

Availability: Same as before.
