HBO Animation
1st Logo (May 16-June 30, 1997)
Logo: On a black background, the HBO logo in red fades in and zooms out towards the left. As it zooms out, the white text "Animation" in a hand-written font, writes out on the right, finishing with the dotting of the "i".
Technique: Simple computer animation.
Music/Sounds: A rising string tone plays as a series of crystal bell notes play for each stroke, finishing with a longer one for the dotting.
Availability: Uncommon. Seen on the first season of Spawn.
2nd Logo (July 11, 1997-June 19, 1998)
Logo: On a black background, we see a red HBO Animation logo from before, already complete, swaying and zooming to the screen. The word "HBO" looks 3D, but then becomes flat.
Technique: CGI animation.
Music/Sounds: High-pitched zooming sound and a bump.
Availability: Seen on Spicy City and the second season of Spawn.
