Gemini Film

From Audiovisual Identity Database

Gemini Film International was an official 20th Century Fox film distributor in Russia from 1996 to 2007. In 2004, they've also released DVDs starting with Ice Age. Then the DVD releasing arm was rebranded 20th Century Fox CIS, while the theatrical releaser under the Gemini brand was liquidated in March 2008.

Logo: A sun comes out from the planet border. The picture swirls so the planet flies away, and transparent objects begin to come in. When they zoom closer, we see the blue words ГЕМИНИ ФИЛЬМ (meaning Gemini Film in Russian), and the star is drawn around. The website appears below (now defunct).

Technique: Sun coming out of the border. The swirling picture. CGI effects.

Music/Sounds: A synth composition.

Availability: On a few DVDs localized in Russia, as well as Russian theatrical prints of Fox movies during the 2000s. Since 2007 until 2019, the regular 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo would appear instead.
