1st Logo (2000-2003)

Logo: At sunset, with blue clouds moving in the sky, we see a boy sitting on a nearby roof near the right side of the screen. Then, fireworks start shooting up far away, and we zoom into the action. The fireworks continue shooting before transforming into a gold version of the standard Fireworks logo. "FIREWORKS" appears underlined below, with a CanWest byline underneath.

Technique: The clouds and fireworks, the camera zooming in.

Music/Sounds: Starts out with some outdoor ambient noises, before moving onto firework noises like those heard on the TV logo.

Availability: Rare. Was seen on movies like Interstate 60, Hardball, Rat Race and Coronado.

2nd Logo (2000-2001)

Logo: Against some rocky mountains, we see fireworks shoot up in the sky above. Like before, they eventually transform into the Fireworks logo in gold, now positioned above the mountains. "FIREWORKS PICTURES" fades in below, with a CanWest byline fading in underneath.

Variants:

  • A still variant exists, mainly used on trailers.
  • On a trailer for Rat Race, the logo slides away to the left.
  • On the trailer for Hardball, the logo tilts at a 90-degree angle.

Technique: The clouds and fireworks.

Music/Sounds: The fireworks popping and whistling, ending with the same sound effects from the TV logo, albeit extended.

Availability: Extremely rare. The full version was only seen on An American Rhapsody. The still variant was seen on some trailers for Fireworks films.
