Compagnia Distribuzione Internazionale
1st Logo (1986-2002)
Logo: Same as the 1979 Orion Pictures logo, but "ORION" is replaced by "CDI". "An" is missing and "PICTURES RELEASE" is replaced by "COMPAGNIA DISTRIBUZIONE INTERNAZIONALE" in an Aharoni font. The camera also slowly zooms towards the left at the beginning to make the stars seem bigger, in order for "CDI" to show up the way it does.
- A variant with "UNA DISTRIBUZIONE" above the logo exists.
- Another variant with "presentato dalla" in white above the logo exists. This variant is still.
- An in-credit variant exists.
Technique: Same as the 1979 Orion Pictures logo.
Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie/trailer.
Music/Sounds Variant: A variant that has an orchestral fanfare exists. It can be seen on the films Cadillac Man - Mister occasionissima and Noi uomini duri.
Availability: Seen on some Italian films that were distributed by Orion, such as Session 9 and its trailer.
2nd Logo (2002-2005)
Logo: On a spinning starry background, a light flashes, where the stars of Orion then zoom out. As usual, they spin and form the "C" from the previous logo, and the letters of "D" and "I" follow suit, but in the style of the 1997 Orion logo. A light then flies to form the text "COMPAGNIA DISTRIBUZIONE INTERNAZIONALE" in a Calibri font.
Technique: Cheap 2D animation.
Availability: Ultra rare. Seen on a recent print of Giovanni Falcone and a Italian trailer for Avenging Angelo.
