Berliner Film Companie

From Audiovisual Identity Database

Berliner Film Companie was a German film and television company that owns a animation division called Berlin Animation Film, and it was also active from 2002 until it was dormant in 2009 after the failures of Happily N'Ever After 2: Snow White—Another Bite @ the Apple and Spaceballs: The Animated Series.

1st Logo (September 6, 2002-2006)

Logo: On a blue background we see a filmstrip moving with a brite light outside of it, then a picture of the Brandenburg Gate zooming into the filmstrip with a box zooming out as the background turns into black with the text "bfc" appears below the picture with the full text underneath and stacked reading "berliner film companie" with the filmstrip stops moving and the flashes disappears.

  • On Da Boom Crew and Altair in Starland, a still variant of this logo is used.
  • On some episodes of Shadow of the Elves, the logo is coloured in light red and the text reads "BFC family".

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: TBA.

2nd Logo (December 15, 2006)

Logo: Zooming out from a square-shaped glowing sprocket hole, the camera pans up to see more glowing sprocket holes, until a second set of sprocket holes are revealed. The view tilts and shines, to reveal a rapidly-moving light tunnel. Various copies of the Berliner Film Companie logo can be seen, until it stops. The logo, which is a blue-tinted image of the Brandenburg Gate with the text "bfc" and "berliner film companie" below that inside a filmstrip, then becomes more clearer.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The sounds of a film reel with a calm clarinet theme.

Availability: So far, only seen on Happily N'Ever After.

3rd Logo (June 4, 2008-March 1, 2009)
