Anchor Bay Entertainment (2008-2017)/Warning Screens
This article is missing images. If you have an image of any logo described here please upload it and add it to the page in the appropriate place. (More information) |
1st Warning (1990-1998)
Warning: Same as the 1984 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment FBI warning (see here for details), but it has a rocky, black and white Video Treasures wallpaper background.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: This is a pretty easy one to spot; it can be found on every VHS release from the Video Treasures era since early 1990. However, it does not appear on Video Treasures releases distributed by Media Home Entertainment; those releases feature Media's FBI warning screen instead. Also, it can be intact on 1997-1998 VHS releases from the Anchor Bay Entertainment era, including Zombie. Also appears on 1995-1996 releases by Starmaker Entertainment.
2nd Warning (1998-2008)
Warning: This is more detailed than the previous Video Treasures FBI Warning screen. The background is blue, but this time the classic Anchor Bay Entertainment logo was never shown. We see the ship, rocks, small island, and the clouds, all of which are colored in blue. On the top, we see the words "FBI WARNING", and underneath them is the warning text.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: No longer current, but it can be seen on every VHS release in the Anchor Bay Entertainment era. They can also be seen on most Anchor Bay DVDs prior to 2008, such as Me, Eloise.
3rd Warning (2008-2017?)
Warning: This is a pretty basic and simple FBI Warning. On a black background, we see the words "WARNING" and underneath it is the warning text.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen on The Grand, newer Anchor Bay Entertainment releases, and the last DVDs of Thomas & Friends distributed by the company before Lionsgate (which folded Anchor Bay into its home entertainment division in 2017) took over distribution.
