Hi. Autoconfirmed has now been fixed, so you should be able to upload images. Your uploads will have to pass through moderation until you reach confirmed status, which you're not that far away from.
Why was the autoconfirmed user group removed? I noticed that it got removed when I couldn't see the autoconfirmed user group and I lost the permissions to create pages and edit without pending review, which autoconfirmed users would normally have. I think I have to be automoderated to regain those permissions.
