Background

This is the vanity plate of John McNamara and Sera Gamble.

McNamara Paper Products

1st Logo (March 3, 1997-February 25, 1999)

Logo: On a white background, a paper airplane flies in, and 3 sets of text appear above and below the airplane. Above it is the curved text "McNamara", and below it is "Paper Products, Inc." and ""We Make Scripts"".

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh and a ding. This was only heard on overseas airings; American airings used this logo with generic ABC network music.

Availability: Seen on Vengeance Unlimited and Spy Game.

2nd Logo (October 6, 2000-May 4, 2012)

Logo: On a paper sheet background, we see the following stacked text "McNamara© paper products" in black. A paper airplane then flies into the screen and stops above the company name. A byline appears, saying ""We make scripts, so you don't have to."".

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the background is a cloudy sky and the airplane is yellow.
  • On the In Plain Sight episode "Father Goes West", the logo is stretched.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: Some paper crumbling sounds alongside a whoosh. Originally, it was silent or used the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Fastlane, Eyes, the 2000 TV remake of The Fugitive, and the third season of In Plain Sight.

McNamara Moving Company

(May 28, 2015-April 1, 2020)

Logo: On a white background, we see a building with the stenciled text "McNAMARA", with "MOVING COMPANY" below it, on it in purple, with two smaller blue buildings next to it. Suddenly, all the buildings merge together into a truck, while the text morphs into "McMOVCO", and the truck floats up to the top of the screen. The byline "We Move You" fades in below.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on season 1 of Aquarius and The Magicians. Despite being rebranded in 2016, it remained in use until the series' end.

Fabrication

1st Logo (June 16-September 10, 2016)

Logo: On a white background, the red Olivetti Valentine typewriter (but the word "valentine" is removed above the keys) is shown with a piece of paper on it. Then, a hand presses the "F" key on the keyboard and causes it to transform wildly into red 3D text saying "FABRICATION" in big capital letters.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.

Availability: Seen on season 2 of Aquarius.

2nd Logo (June 18, 2021-)

Logo: On a black background, we see a white rectangle with "FABRICATION" on it.

Variant: On season 1 of the series, the logo shares the screen with the Nutmegger logo above.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: So far, seen on Physical.
