Background

Clement/La Frenais Productions is the production company of comedy partners Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, and it was owned by SelecTV, who also owned WitzEnd Productions and Alomo Productions.

1st Logo (November 12-December 17, 1990)

ClementLaFrenais1.png

Logo: On a white-pink gradient background, we see the blue words "Clement La Frenais" in script writing (ala Desilu). The background dims, and then a line appears below the "La Frenais" words, which was also drawn. The word "A" is above the script and below it was "SelecTV Production", with "SelecTV" in its own logo, and "for Thames Television" is shown below, which fades in.

Technique: The writing of the script.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen only on Freddie and Max.

2nd Logo (January 5-August 29, 1993)

ClementLaFrenais2.png

Logo: Virtually the same as the previous logo, except it takes place on a black background. The script was in white instead of blue. The word "A" and "PRODUCTION" appear above and below the script in spaced-out letters. The SelecTV logo (which has the same special animation shown on the Alomo and WitzEnd logos) appear below the logo, and a copyright date fades in below.

Technique: Same as before, plus the animation of the SelecTV logo.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on two short-lived shows: Full Stretch and Over the Rainbow.
