Background

Ballistic was an Accolade's label for publishing games on Genesis platform. These games were un-licensed by Sega, so when the legal issues were cleared, the label was shut down.

1st Logo (1991)

Logo: A red profile face is seen on background pattern resembling a boom with many fragments, colored in all tones of red. Below, the word "BALLISTIC" is in custom yellow font, with tiny red "PRESENTS" below.

Technique: TBA.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Seen on Mike Ditka Ultimate Football, Turrican, Hardball, and Universal Soldier.

2nd Logo (1991-1993)

Logo: The face itself is now black on rainbow-colored background, and the colors change repeatedly.

Variants:

  • On Test Drive 2, the name also flashed rainbow colors, and "PRESENTS" was seen below.
  • On Star Control, Winter Challenge, and Onslaught, the company name was red.

Technique: Just the color effects.

Music/Sounds: Male announcer saying "BALLISTIC PRESENTS", or the pointless noise.

Availability: Seen on games for Genesis named above.

3rd Logo (1991-1993)

Logo: The face looks a bit enhanced and purple-colored. The word "BALLISTIC" is red with the tiny word "PRESENTS" below. Under these, we can see "ARCADE BLOCKBUSTERS", also in red.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Double Dragon and Ivan "Iron Man" Stewart's Super Off Road.
